DDM Tuning 9006 4500K HID Kit

SIRROMMOTORSPORTS

Regardless members comments about DDM Tuning kits being "no good" because their cheap prices, I've never had a problem with any of my vehicles in the past few years. I run DDM 4500K 55w kits on all 3 of my vehicles plus my street bike. Only complaint, their shipping takes approximately 2 weeks to receive. Customer service is great, quick response when needed, only complaint is their snail mail.

Install is a simple plug and play setup with the 9006 kit. There is a little modification thats needed but its super simple. I like a clean factory look so here's what I did...

You'll have to take the intake box out to really gain complete access to the drivers side headlight.

1) First remove the black headlamp caps so you can remove the factory bulb.

2) You'll need to drill a 7/8" hole using like a flat spade bit in the center of the black cap so that the hid wiring will pass through. DDM will have a rubber O ring type thing to make a solid seal.

3) On the outer side of the OEM headlamp housing you'll notice about a 4" x 4" square where the factory OEM ballast would generally go. What I did was break off one side of that square so that the DDM ballast fit in that spot. Once measured, I used a pair or dikes to make the initial cut then a pair of pliers to rock the thin tab back and forth until it snaps off nice and clean.

4) Now I mounted my ballast in that spot using 3M tape. I also re-enforced the ballast by placing a rubber strip from a rubber mat I had laying around (can use anything really, plummers tape, etc..) crossing over the ballast diagonally and placing a screw on each end that fit the OEM holes that are located on each corner of the square.

5) Now plug all the wires in and your finished. OEM harness plugs to the ballast, headlight plugs into the harness wire which then plugs to the HID bulb.

Hope that helps any. Let me know if you have more questions.
