Hello there. Does anyone know how to make the runtime longer for a 2010 ord edge factory installed remote start runtime longer? I checked the owners manuel and it says it can be changed from the factory set 10 min to 15 min but does not tell you how to do it. I though I seen somewhere on the site a PDF with instructions but now I cannot find it anywhere. Any help would be great.

Just had our 2010 Edge in to Ford again yesterday. It is 6 months old. In my case it was the passanger side squeaking but only if you had someone in the seat no noise while driving alone. They took it for a test drive with 2 people and this time they did hear the squeak. A tech. checked it out and has decided that both driver and passanger seat rails need to be replaced. They have to order then in from the USA. They are going to call when they arrive. As I had mentioned in an earlier post my friend works at the manufacturing plant who makes the rails and Ford has made them aware of a problem. But Ford is not telling their customers. I will keep everyone updated on how it goes and how long it takes to get the job done.

Mabey its time Ford admits there is a problem and gets it repaired by the parts company which makes their seat rails.

Hey lynie1013. Which seat in your Edge is squeaking? Mine is the passangers. As for the repairs they have tried when you say seat fram was it the rails that attach the seat to the vehicle or the main seat itself? The info. I have gathered from my friend is the problems they have been contacted about is a rail problem. Seems like you have a pretty good service person unlike mine who says there is no problem mabey she will try and get the rails replaced and fix the problem. Please let us know how it goes.

I would imagine they are the same for cloth or leather the material should not change the rails. Mine does have cloth seats however. It is an SEL model.

We just took our 2010 Edge in for a seat squeak today. It's 6 months old. The dealership said they cannot find a problem. I have a friend of mine who works for the company who makes the seat rails for the Edge(Ford) and he tells me Ford has approached them to fix their design because people are complaining about squeaks. I believe that is why there is a backorder on the parts because they are awaiting a fix. I am going to keep taking it back to the dealer until my seat rails are replacerd with new ones. I hope this inside info. helps people out so if you seats squeak take it in and demand a replacement.
