Hi - I'm new to this site & was hoping someone could help. We purchased a 2008 Ford Edge SEL FWD new in February 2008 (loyal Ford owners - also own a 1997 Expedition, 2006 Mustang GT & my daughter's 1997 Mustang). The car has been shifting hard occasionally at low speeds (car has 56,000 miles on it) since new. I just thought it was the way it shifted but yesterday on our way home from a 100 miles trip all the sudden the air bag light & the check engine light came on & the display said "no odometer available" . The car was running fine but when we stopped at the traffic light & went to proceed, the car would not move - it was like it was in neutral then all the sudden the transmission engaged with a loud clunk & the car moved & all the lights went out & everything worked fine after that. I tried calling the dealer but they told me that it wouldn't be covered under warranty. Has anyone else experienced something similiar? I love my Edge & haven't really had any other problems but this is scary! Thanks
