    It was almost a head-on collision. The Dodge coming from the other direction came into my lane. I was able to react quickly enough to move toward the shoulder to prevent head-on, but not fast enough to get out of this guy's way completely. I was alone, but wasn't injured. A little sore from the seat-belt. I found out first hand how well this vehicle is built. It really protected me when I needed it. I miss my Edge

    I starting building my 2007 Edge online for many, many months before they ever hit the dealerships. I drooled daily over my Virtual Edge! We ended up finally get the first one our local dealership had on the lot on December 26th, 2006, because I just couldn't wait to have one built. I was very happy with my AWD Edge SEL Plus. It only ever had one problem which was a faulty valve stem, which they later recalled. Not too bad for the first batch of a model, of the first model year ever. I would still be driving my Edge if some (insert long list of profane adjectives here) GUY hadn't came into my lane head on and crashed into me. My curtain airbags deployed on both sides, the whole driver's side was smashed up, the real suspension was broken and the Edge was totaled. The car truly saved my life. ANYWAY, I am currently without a car, driving my husband's Excursion until I make a purchase decision. I wasn't ready for this. I wasn't done with MY EDGE! So now I debate, do I take the insurance money and go get another 07-09 Edge, or do I order a 2011, or do I try to wait it out until I can actually drive the 2011 to make my decision. Mind you, my husband must continue to drive his "hunting truck" back and forth to work while I am in his truck, lol, asking me every day, "when can I have MY truck back?" We stopped by the dealership last week to see when they would be in, and one of the sales-people said August 12th. Well, still not there, and from what I'm reading, i may be a while yet. I just don't how much longer I can put off a vehicle purchase. We have to get life back to normal around here.
