I just found the same thing on my 2008 Ford Edge. That is so disappointing that in this age of vehicles we have to worry about rust on the body. Shameful. I love the Edge but have found some things that do discourage me.

I just bought a used 2008 and initially didnt notice this but there is a whinning sound at low and initial accleration. Thought maybe it was a fan motor or something similar. Has anyone experienced this? I am bringing it in for Service next week and wanted to be able to discuss it with them and have some insight as to the possible problem.
