This made it so much easier to do mine - thanks for finding this one out early for the rest of us. :happy feet:
Yep, that was a good one.

Man if you are towing something heavy enough to need a brake controller, you have got the wrong tow vehicle.

Those are the worst locks on the market. The key will strip out when you go to take them off. I stripped about 3 keys before I had to go to a wheel shop to get them off. Get the locks with the different knurl pattern on the outside and the key fits over like a socket.

Car we are selling. 2011 Ford Edge Sport has replaced.

Mercury summer cruiser.
Awesome. My first car was a 67 Cougar. I wish to God I still had that car.

That's weird.

I try uploading photos by clicking the "Attach File" button -- it uploads, but doesn't show up... I've tried different browsers.
Any advice on how to add a photo?
Upload to photo bucket or another web hosting site, then use the insert image button and cut and paste image URL.

Thanks sandjunkie!
Let me know what you find.
These are the DDM HIDs from my Jeep Wrangler. I would like to get a similar kit for the Edge Sport.
-
I was woundering if someone that has their new Sport can check the manual and see what size/type of headlamp it takes?
I wanted to look for a HID kit.
HIR2 or 9012

I am in So Cal as well and we have a cabin in Green Valley Lake. I bought a 11 Sport with FWD. I wont be taking it up the mountain in the snow though. I have a jeep wrangler and a 4wd truck for that. If I didn't have those options, I definitely would have bought the AWD and maybe even considered the Limited over the sport because of the smaller wheels and more rubber to wrap the chains around. All that being said, I dont think you should take the hit and move to an awd version. The roads are cleared fast in the local mountains and the new snowfall is pretty predictable.

STUNNING!!
I love your White color and the tints are such a nice contrast!
When I went to the dealer to order mine, I sorta wanted White as my last car was Black for 4 years and at the time what I thought was their White "demo" SEL and I didn't like to much. I hated that it was more pearly, beige and I wanted a pure White look. After looking at your car and going back on the Ford Canada site, I can see that the SEL has a White Suede which prob what I saw and didn't like so much and that the Limited options only have the White Platinum which you have.
Knowing this now, wow, I may have chosen the White. I know my dealer is only putting the order in on Wednesday (by my request) and am totally torn between the White and Black now
I know Black is harder to make look clean at all times and shown more dust etc...but my wife prefers it this color. Me, I want a change and love the look of the White for a change of color.
I don't know if I like the White in the sport only though with the Black grill vs. the Chrome, I know I am attracted to this Black grill look.
The only thing that makes me want the Black is the matching lower body trim color. It seems like the Limited model has Black "plastic" trim around front and rear bumper and below doors, I don't know if I would enjoy the obvious look of the contrasting plastic whereas the sport is painted to match.
I am contemplating if I could simply order a Black sport grill and have it put onto my Limited, I'm guessing this will soon become a popular mod. Also wondering if I can get the lower body trim below doors and below front bumper from the sport added to the Limited. Won't work for the rear as I bought the tow package.
Tony
My wife wanted me to change the black grill for a chrome one like the limited. I talked her out of it. The chrome grill from Ford is $380.

Thanks for all of the compliments.
As far as the popo goes, it helps to have friends in high places. :shades:

I don't know what the % tint was. I took it to a local guy here who works on really high end cars (lambos, ferrari's, etc. for jstar motors). He has done a great job on all of my cars. I told him I wanted to match the back. I only had the two fronts done and it was $60. I know he uses 3M film.

That is what I was thinking. I think it was just the short drives without the time to calibrate. Time will tell. In the mean time, I am hunkered down with the AC blasting.

It's about 108-110 in SoCal today. Exterior Temp is pegged at 90. Anyone notice a similar problem?

The sport seats aren't black
I never said that they were.
-
Same issue here. I got it working once and the next time it didn't work. If someone has the answer, post it up.
-
Ok this one is Fiexed!!! Yea!!!. If your having this problem, read on.
The dealership had no idea what to do about this. They said they were on the phone with Ford for a hour, but still couldn't fihure it out. They gave me back the Edge and told me there were ordering a new seat module, due in next week. When I got home, I kept workingwith it and found the problem.
Do not do step #4 in the programming process described in the owners manual!!!!
The manual gives the following instructions:
Programming the memory feature to the transmitter
To activate this feature:
1. Move the driver seat and power mirrors to the desired positions using
the associated controls.
2. Press and hold button 1 for five
seconds. A tone will be heard after
about two seconds confirming
memory position has been set.
Continue to hold until a second tone
is heard after five seconds.
3. Within three seconds press "icon for lock th door".
4. Press "icon for unlock" <---------- Do not do this!!!!!!! It actually clears the programing you just entered. Wait at least 20 seconds before you press unlock!.
5. Repeat this procedure for memory 2 and another transmitter if
desired.
Now when my wife presses unlock on her IA key, the seats and mirrors automatically move to her position and when I press unlock on mine, they change to my positions and I don't have to have my knees hitting he in the chest. Yeah!!
I call the dealer tomorrow and tell them not to order the module.
:hyper:
Thanks for that!!! It worked great.

Tinted the front windows.

My 2011 Sport has whitish stitching. I saw a limited on the same lot with sienna stitching.

Just put my order in today - they say 6 to 8 weeks; I would assume there must be some padding in that estimate? What would be a best case lead time: from order - to - driveway?... I'm feeling lucky!! :D
If some of you don't mind sharing.. what kind of pricing are you folks paying for the fully loaded 2011 Sports - ALL OPTIONS? I think I recieved a spectacular deal, but I'd like to get some check and balances here.. You can PM me, if you're more comfortable with that.
Thanks!
My window sticker was $41,170. With the ford $1000 rebate I ended up paying $38,190 before state tax which was $500 below invoice. I have the vision package, driver entry package, tri-coat white, voice navigation, and vista roof.

Picked my 2011 Edge Sport up last night. I can't wait to spend time with it this weekend.

It does not have homelink. I am contemplating buying a visor from eBay and doing a modification.
