My memory seat was working fine including the easy exit; but I was trying to do something else and now I have lost the easy exit movement. Since I am short 5'2" I would love if the seat was at it's lowest possible position when I got in and then adjust to the driving position after that; like after I actually started the car. Then when I shut the engine off the seat would go back to its lowest position to make getting out easier. I'm now thinking I need to have 2 settings; one to get in and then the second memory button programmed for after I got into the vehicle. I guess my hubby won't have his own setting! lol But now I don't know how to get the easy exit movement back.

I hope I haven't screwed things up.

UPDATE: The easy exit is working again; don't ask me how though???

Great review mleber! I got mine a few days ago and installed it yesterday. It was pretty simple and I just used the blue cloth to move the few bubbles out of the way after I peeled off the pink plastic. It looks pretty good. Mine didn't go quite underneath the frame but it's pretty darn close. I measured it and it was 175 mm x 105 mm. I'm kind of surprised that a company in the U.S. would even use mm for a measurement. I've attached a copy of my packing slip. They seem to be making the ordering process sort of complicated for the same film.

OK, I see now that if you select "by Manufacturer and drill down to Ford / 2011 Edge, that is what you get.

I selected the Custom Size Product list button on the same form. It had only a few choices and one of them is the 2011 Edge

 

Thanks for clearing this up for me Wilsons. I guess I didn't think it was necessary to go to the Custom Size button when what i was looking for came up under the By Manufacturer button.

The size is shown in the shopping cart.

I also noticed that my confirmation eMail had the dimensions on it.

The package I got yesterday also had the dimensions on it.

I've only had mine a month but I love it; of course I've always had a "moon roof" in all my other vehicles and the Vista feels like a convertible to me! I also bought the extended warranty but I got it more for the other things that could go wrong. Good advice from Chainsaw though to shop around for the warranty. Good luck!

Interesting - when I ordered mine today, it's coming up as "174 x 105 DayVue for Ford Edge 2011". Guess they decided to add a millimeter.

I readily admit I'm not that computer literate....but I looked at that site 6 ways to Sunday when I was ordering mine and I didn't see any measurements anywhere! Maybe I need glasses lol I'm going to have to measure it when I get it.

I ordered it from the dealer on 30th of September. However, this car was already made and ready to be shipped from a factory to a dealer in West Coast. At least this was based on the record what a dealer showed me at the time of the placing the order.

I was also able to register with this VIN number on syncmyride.com. It identified properly my vehicle as Ford Edge Sport - white platinum.

Perhaps it's different in the States but every factory order I've been involved with or read about provides the customer with the better of the incentives/rebates available at time of order or at time of delivery. It the only fair way to do it.

In Canada (Ontario) at Ford you always get the best price/deal from when you order it to when you pick it up. My price actually went down :-)

Was looking at a used Edge for a while, then accidentally stepped into a 2011 and there was no going back. Plus all the incentives and rebates just made the deal a must. We purchased about 2-3 weeks ago with an expected delivery of 6-8 weeks. I now have the VIN number. Just wondering if there is anywhere beyond the dealer to get a more up to date delivery date? How long are people waiting for their Edge's to arrive. I'm in Vaughan, ON about 40kms from the Oakville plant where they are being assembled.

 

BTW - Anyone lucky enough to go to the plant to see theirs being assembled?

Hi D; congratulations on your new purchase. Which model did you end up with? The 2011's are hard to resist! lol I live near the Oakville plant but it didn't speed up delivery. Mind you I bought mine in June. The dealer had the VIN number which he said basically meant the car should ship within a week of that (don't know if that's true). He got the VIN number about 2 weeks before they received it and he did mention they were slow but that could have changed by now. They received mine on the Labour Day weekend and the sales guy didn't even know it was on the lot!! Post a pic when you get it and enjoy...you are going to love it!

Hello all, seems there is a forum for everything! My wife and I traded in her beloved BMW 330i (WORST CAR EVER OWNED!) this past weekend on a new 2010 Edge Limited in Cinnamon. It has camel colored heated leather, sync, huge moon/sun roof! I grew up on Chevrolet, but taking into account the recent bail-outs and the "coolness" factor of Ford's new cars I had to take the plunge. I'll admit I did urge the wife to look at a Toyota Venza. We ended on the Edge, you can get so much more for the same money.

 

To date I am very impressed with the Edge, the quiteness, quality of drive. Additionally, the sync feature is unbelieveable, really cool! We bought the Edge from Northgate Ford Lincoln Mercury in Cincinnati. Our sales person was Shawn and did a great job!! I know I will not need this forum like I needed the BMW forum. None-the-less I will stick around to talk and learn.

The one that replaced the 330 anyway. He got the same black on black premium this and that blah blah blah; and guess which car he wants to drive all the time? Exactly, and I won't let him not until the honeymoon is over and right now I'm still in love!!!

OK, this was a little weird. I went to the mall last night and when I was leaving I put my vehicle in reverse. For a split second when the back up camera came on; it was the view I would see when I left my driveway!! Does the camera have a memory of some kind? Maybe there's a function for taking pictures I don't know about

Just wanted to say - I rocked my sales guy's mind picking up my beautiful car tonight. You could tell he had tried to cram for test day on the new systems, but as we finished up he asked if there was anything else I wanted to ask. I looked back at him and asked if there was anything else he wanted to ask me. He laughed and admitted that I did know more about the car then he did.

 

I haven't found any thing to complain about yet. But only drove it about 30 minutes then played with some of the systems. Holy Cow, lots to try and figure out.

I have since learned that - but didn't bother responding back since it seemed the thread had died, but I guess it hadn't. I was finally successful at getting a pin through the proper forum.

In Ontario, everyone has been getting employee pricing since the 1st of August but we probably still pay more :-(

Hey, last car I ordered, I was promised 90 days. Turned into 120! I waited exactly 4 months for that Infiniti.

 

I ordered BluEdge on 7/23 and took delivery 9/21 - 60 days. It would've been less had the train it was on not broken down. :wacko:

I just got my loaded '11 Platinum White Sport on the 10th. I love it and you are going to love yours too! Can't tell you about the wait though. I ordered mine in June long before production so I knew it would be awhile. I live close to the Ford Plant in Oakville where they are made but it doesn't make them appear any quicker :-(.

The wait was so worth it though! Six weeks will pass before you know it. :hyper:
