I am looking for advice on keeping my leather seats in the 2011 Edge Limited in good shape. Any products you can recommend for cleaning and conditioning? And should I be looking for specific products for the type of leather used for the 2011 Edge or is it the same for all leather seats? Thank you in advance!

I got my 2011 Limited detailed professionally yesterday... the truck looks great!. What caught me by surprise is when I went to pick it up, the detailer asked me if I had noticed the scratches on the chrome trim at the bottom of the driver's window. My truck is only 3 months old and I have been extremely careful with it so far. And thinking that I am perfectly aware of every inch of the truck, I was first shocked by the question and my second reaction was the detailer must have scratched it by accident and trying to deny it... I got totally paranoid of course but I did not go as far as accuse him. Indeed when I walked around to the driver's side, I noticed it very easily from 10 feet away... the middle section of the trim looked totally scratched... and this being on the driver's side, there is no way I could have missed it before... or so I thought... thinking I will go back to the dealer and ask them to change the piece, I took my car back and drove away. When I parked my car outside and got out of the car, I could not see the scratches anymore. I guess the fluorescent lighting at the detailer really brought out this imperfection but there is no way to see them under natural light unless you get very very close knowing there is an issue there. Which brings me to my question... do you have any comments about the effects of lighting? Should I have checked my car indoors under such lighting before taking it from the dealer on the first day to make sure all is OK? I don't know anymore if the car was given to me this way... I thought I was in total control and aware about the condition of my car... I feel disappointed and kinda cheated by this situation... the worst part is I don't know by whom?

That's a good idea... I guess I need to tape it in such a way that the tape does not touch the panels either... have you used this method yourself? Just regular tape? Thanks!

We have been lucky so far in Montreal... it has been raining but no snow... yet...

Hi... I have my 2011 Edge Black/Black for 3 months now... I have been successful keeping it swirl free so far following advise from these posts and other readings so far... as you know winter is right around the corner and I am concerned about clearing the snow off using a snow brush... is there any way I can minimize the damage? Any soft snow brushes or other products you can recommend to make it through the winter with minimal damage? Thank you in advance!

I just wanted to say that the album art covers decided to show up again... I have not done anything different nor played with any of the settings... not on the Ford and not on the Ipod... the album art covers decided to start working again just like the first few weeks of usage... let's see how long it stays on...

I find the Edge to have such a quite ride that any noise out of the ordinary is noticeable I guess. That's where the Sony can help:) So I guess there is no need to make a big deal about it at the dealer... I was thinking maybe the rubber seal would need to be sprayed or something... It is my first sunroof experience... my previous vehicles did not have one... Thanks for all your feedback!

I have taken possession of my 2011 Limited for two months now and no major issues... I love it. But just recently, my sunroof has started making some squeaking noise when closed... I have tried opening and closing it back and most of the time, it has made the squeaking noise go away. We have now hit colder weather, around freezing temperatures, where there is condensation overnight and some freezing in the mornings. The squeaking is now more persistent. Has any of you had similar issues with the sunroof?

I have my Ipod Touch connected via USB and I have been using it with no problems for a few weeks on my 2011 Edge. However, since couple of days ago, the Album Art Cover from one of the previous albums I was listening to decided to stay on... when I play a new song from a new album, the Album Art Cover remains unchanged. Audio works fine... the problem is the frozen Album Art Cover. Even when I unplug the Ipod and plug it back, it stays the same. I also tried changing the view by accessing phone or navigation or climate... as soon as I come back to USB, the Album Art Cover from the previous album is there. Any ideas? Is there a way to reset or...? Thanks in advance for any hints you might have.
