  1. I have the Ctek, very pleased. It has the extra leads that bolt to the battery,so you just plug the charger in,very handy. It's also the one Ferrari sells with their logo on .

It's on sale this week at CTC .

  2. Service adviser just called stating the 30,000 mile suggested service could be completed while they are completing the TSB 11-05-06 transmission issue. (If you don't know of it, search the forum, print and take to your dealership to get it fixed). She said they had 2 packages..... $700.00 or $400.00... to change the fluids... I even double checked the phone to make certain I was not on the phone with my Mercedes Benz dealer. LOL needless to say told her we would complete this at a later date.

    That does seem excessive.

Thanks for the heads up on the TSB

  3. I've noticed from looking through forum post pictures that we have some members that know how shoot in funky lighting modes and still get results.

What cameras/lenses do y'all use, what do you like about them, and what would you change?

I'll start. I usually use a Nikon d7000 with a Nikkor AF-S DX 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II lens. I have some other stuff, but that combo is the go-to. That lens is a good versatile zoom, but kinda sucks for macro shooting or low light unless you're REALLY stable or use a tripod. The body will do damn near anything you could want, takes 2 SD cards, and is FAST.

I have the D5100,and the same lens plus an 18-55vr.

  4. Hi jackdaniel. :D Definite info concerning what? If you are still wondering about the stock/factory Fusion wheels centerbore spec (it is 67.1mm), Google "Ford Fusion wheel centerbore".

As far as your price quote: Maybe the machine shop you received the price quote from does quality work, but all you mention is price. In this case, it is important to remember that finding a machine shop that knows what they are doing is more important than price. If they incorrectly machine the wheels, you could wind up with four useless hunks of aluminum that cause bad vibrations or worse while driving. So find a machine shop which specializes in quality automotive wheel work.

Let us know how you make out and good luck. :beerchug:

That quote was from a wheel repair specialty shop.

I want to confirm the center bore for the 2010 Edge.

  5. Hi jackdaniel. :D The centerbore size of factory/stock Fusion wheels is 67.1mm. If you try to have them machined, make sure you pick a machine shop that really knows that they are doing.

    Hope this helps.

    Good luck. :beerchug:

    Thanks for the replies guys.

Is there a web site with definite info?

I guess I have an excuse to buy a nice set of I/O Measuring Calipers.

I got a quote of $20 per wheel.

  6. I have an old set of 18" from the Fusion, but the hub centric size is smaller

than what is needed for the 2010 awd Edge.

They would make good 'winter' wheels.

Where can I get accurate info on the sizes?

Does anyone think the old rims are worth taking to machine shop?

    thanks, Jack
