  1. I was talking to my neighbor, who works at Ford Oakville.

He was saying they have been approached by the Provincial Police (OPP)

    to prototyping an interceptor.

    I said I want the suspension/brake parts .

  2. I spent my Saturday car shopping. No one wanted to give me a fair price for my trade or make a deal on a 2011, so I took my ball and went home. Problem being that I have a limit to what I will spend, and the Limiteds that are left euquipped the way I want all have the roof, and it puts it over the top for cost. I ran numbers for ordering one the way I want it, so if I can get my trade I will do that. So I started researching 2012's and see that they have a new color, Mineral Grey Metallic. From what I have read, it is not a new color but new to Edge, seems to have been around for a long time. However, I would like to see it in person. Does anyone know if there are current models out with the color on it or if it has been named something else previously? Not sure if the paint code I found is correct. Thanks.

    Hi. I have a 2005 GT 'vert,in Mineral Gray,tan interior,tan top.

The color gets lots of compliments.

I dropped a couple of photos in the album

  3. I have a 2010 and have no problems in the operation of the MKX. It does have a slow shift from 1st to 2nd gear from a stop. It shifts on time, but seems to reduce throttle go between gears engage second then add throttle back. That is probably the way Ford has it programed, but it sure feels primitive.

The rest of the shifts feel normal. Is this normal for other owners?

My 2010 is like that also, very sluggish on 1st to 2nd shift.

  4. If you don't mind me asking what did this cost you???

As I recall, $250. for the replacement grille, ready for prep/paint

$125. to paint and swap grilles

It's mid winter..haven't seen the car that clean for quite sometime.

  5. I had the same problem with mine 2010 SEL. My car was in the garage and just overnight battery went completely dead. I leave in So Cal, so weather is not a problem. I called Ford's road assistance, and when he hooked up power source car started right away. Battery and alternator tested ok and leads were tight. It is not battery problem ether. I think it somewhat relay or something get stuck some time to time and draining the battery when car is not driven. So far it happened once. Dealer could not find anything wrong ether.

I went through all this when I bought a new 2005 Mustang GT.

Lot's of Mustangs were shipped with bad batteries.

Replaced with another from the dealer,no more problems.

  6. This is shocking as I was fully expecting a retractable cover like I had with my 2005 Subaru Forrester. I ordered it as part of the "Cargo Package" too so I guess I won't be too surprised when I see it and as Cornell indicated, I place value on the bumper cover and the rubber tray. Crazy that a Dollarama "solution" can almost ruin a $45,000+ CDN vehicle (Canadian taxes in, with options bought)! Whose bright idea was that?

Thanks richy. Since reading your comment, I can't get the "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" theme song out of my head. :banghead:

My interior is black,I bought a black blanket to cover the cargo if needed.

Since the windows are tinted it's hard to see in there anyway.

The car came with a cargo net, which is quite useless.

  7. Just out of curiosity why did you not have the stock chrome grill painted rather than buying a new one? The shop could've prepped the chrome grill for paint far cheaper than the cost of a new grill.

I didn't want to drive without a grille for a week.

    The replacement was relatively cheap.

I can always switch back to chrome.

  8. I agree, the grill is TOO much chrome on any color edge but silver or white where it tends to blend in rather nicely. Your blue grill looks nice, and classy. Can't wait to get my black SEL in and black out the grill, chrome door handles etc.

I didn't like all the chrome up front either.

I ordered a new grille, came ready for painting, had the local shop paint

    and install

Picture should be in my gallery.
