the inside door handle is a poor design and i 'am learn that the rear cammera lens will not open the rear hatch LOL but i really like this car and will get used to to :yup:

i recived my 2011 edge and it had a sticker on the window this vehicle was tested at random by ford had 26 miles on it what do they check with this short test drive ?

my new edge front bumper got gouged with a rock hit on the freeway this is the sel chrome bumper . is the bumper three sections that you can buy and replace only the damaged section do you need a bodyshop to do the repair the car was two days old i'am just sick

from what i get out of this if you don't get the sd card you will still have voice turn by turn directions just not tave the 3D map is that correct

The part number for the NAV option is BT4T19H449AE. I got the chance to look it up on a Canadian car and noticed it was the same as for the US.

 

I'm still waiting for my MKX to arrive (expected early Nov. - man that seems like a long time!) but I purchased the NAV SD card from a guy on ebay who was using it on a Ford. I'm pretty confident there will be no compatibility issue (Canada/US or Ford/Lincoln for that matter). Moreover, from what I saw on the SD card, it also has french and spanish languages + Canada/US maps.

 

One thing seemed odd to me though... my salesman mentionned I had to take the THX option to be able to have the NAV. I have a very serious doubt but decided to take the THX anyway (I was quite blown away by the sound!!). I know that from the "Build and Price" option on the web, as soon as you checked the NAV option (700$), it automatically added the THX (1000$), but it doesn't necessarily mean that NAV won't work without it...

can we get information useing the VIN number for the build date just ordered 2011 SEL in MED BLUE with the 202A package two days ago do not have VIN number yet

i was just in lowe's looking around and while scanning furnace filters, i noticed they have a furnace filter kit that includes sheets of activated carbon to help eliminate smells.

 

so, i got to thinking, maybe if i bought one and cut the carbon sheet to the size of the particulate filter it might help a little bit.

or, would it reduce the air flow too much?

try it out you can always remove it if it cuts down airflow to much.

did ford bring back the blazing copper saw this color on a new tv add the edge was next to a 2010 taurus i hope so.

Does anyone know if the 2007 Edge SEL + comes with an oil changer reminder? I know on my 1999 Windstar it was a feature. Just assumed that Ford implemented that feature on all of their vehicles.

what would be the avarge time to replace a air bag sensor at a ford dealer

my edge air bag warning lite has started to come on and stay on will not do this all the time anybody had this problem yet. will take it to the dealer to check just looking for others with this problem and possable causes.

does ford still send you a shaker bottle of touchup paint in the mail i recived as a gift with my 05 freestyle it was unexpected and came from Ford not dealership nice touch

Has anyone had problems cleaning the black exterior plastic trim on the bottom of the Edge doors. I have tried powerwashing and hand washing and it still holds the dirt. Anybody got any suggestions. I am going to try to Armour All it to see if that gets it out

don't use any silcone shine products or you will have to use then all the time i made that mistake when i had explorer made black look gray if you did not use after every wash

18" painted or chrome clad??? I know there is a lot of hate mail out there on the chrome clads, and I'm not a big fan of them myself, but I have them on my Edge (standard with the SEL+) and I have grown to like them.

 

A couple years ago I was looking at the new Explorers when they recently started installing the chrome clads. Got pinned by a salesman even though I was just looking, so asked about those. I know you'll get a different answer from every salesman, but he stated they were lighter than the traditional wheel and would make it easier for a woman to change a tire. Now, I don't know about anyone else out there, but if my wife had a flat, the last thing she would do is change it herself, the first being calling me to change it! And I would do so gladly, of course.

 

Otherwise, just a personal preference on the looks. Get whatever appeals best to you.

i was thinking the painted 18 in but 385.00 is alot just for looks on a lease vehicle

You will ONLY have the External temp on the Electronic Climate Control System. The standard AC omits it. You will NOT have it in the dash. We added a Compass, Ext Temp, Mirror to replace the stock one just so the wife would have the Ext Temp.

is that teh same as the duel zone control

It's on our SEL+...don't know about the other trim levels, though.
