I got the phone call Monday (Feb 7) night that my Edge came in....exactly 1week ahead of schedule. I picked it up last night (Feb 8)...and she is GORGEOUS! The contrast between the black and the white is absolutely stunning. I got to the dealership late (30minutes before closing) so I don't know how to use My Touch so I will have to make an appointment to learn the basics. The drive was AMAZING...totally different than my Escape. It is a lot smoother. So far I am loving it. Only negative experience regarding the purchase I was unable to use both the $750 coupon (from the brochure) and the military discount ($500)...there was some nonsense about combining offers. I wasn't going to walk away because of $500. So far I am loving it! Hee, Hee....Early Valentine's Day present...Belated B-Day gift.

We got lucky in Maryland....just 2 inches fell :-). Whew.....I don't want the repeat of last winter where we had back to back blizzards 1 week apart. 30+ inches of snow both times.

I wanted to post an update. My birthday was on Tuesday (1.11.11) and the dealer called me to say that delivery is targeted for Feb 14! So although it will not be a birthday present it will be a Valentines Day present. Furthermore, more incentives are now available that will expire on March 4. Total $$ for incentives will be 3250. I ordered the brochure online and the coupon value is $750.

i have a milestone birthday coming up in 2 weeks (40 years young) and i am rewarding myself with a 2011 LImited AWD drive in the White TriCoat Platinum; black interior, cargo management system, 20inch wheels and the 301 A package (no adaptive cruise control for me because I live in the DC area and there is too much congestion for cruising). I ordered my baby on December 18 and got confirmation on Dec 22 that the order was placed. I will be trading in my 2005 Escape which has been problem free since I picked it up in 2004. Never thought I would be driving a Ford in my lifetime (due to hearing the horror stories about quality) but I am loyal and I love my FORD. I can't wait until I pick it up.
