not a normal end clamp the nuetral goes through it and to the frame ground I was told by a ford mechanic not to try and cut the wire and retrofit it

i replaced the battery on my 07 edge and broke the nuetral clamp on the battery cable had to but whole kit form ford for $170.00 has anyone had to do this or know how to replace the cables?
