  1. To follow up, this week the Edge won "Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year: 2011," at the Canadian International Auto Show, beating out all other price ranges as the best utility vehicle

Ford also won Best Tech of 2011 with their Rear Inflatable Seatbelts that are available in the new Explorers

  2. I am glad you brought this up, as I was just wondering about this. I have no vehicle yet but it is currently on rail being delivered. When I check Sync My Ride account under Update & Customize is states: Waiting to download 0 items. Then under Vehicle Health Report it says the following:

Vehicle Health Report and 911 Assist™ are not installed on your vehicle. Upgrade now!

Now most SYNC owners (except Mustang) can upgrade to include this feature—so you can monitor your vehicle''s health—with a touch of a button or a simple voice command:

911 Assist is available in the United States and Canada only, Vehicle Health Report is available in the United States only.

How do I get the upgrade?

Is a SYNC upgrade to include 911 Assist and Vehicle Health Report available now?

Yes. Owners of all SYNC-equipped vehicles (except Mustang) may upgrade their SYNC to include 911 Assist and Vehicle Health Report. The upgrade is a software installation performed by dealers, and eligible customers are responsible for dealer installation charges, which may vary.

To get the upgrade you will need to:

Create or log in to your SYNC owner account now.

Go to the Update & Customize page.

Select the 911 Assist and Vehicle Health Report Upgrade.

Print the Request for SYNC Upgrade Form form and bring it to your dealer.

Make an appointment with your perferred dealership.

Overall, it seems they do not install these features from the factory, so the dealer must install it, possibly for a charge. The fact that your dealer does not have the proper USB cord suggests that they probably have not done an update of any kind, so be weary.

    I hope this helps.

    Now to continue waiting (im)patiently...

  4. I do not have my LTD yet, but it will be getting the HIDs. From what I have read so far, the adjustment bolt should have both the Allen and the Philllips. Please reference the link below from akirby, open up to page 73 on the 3rd ed. for light alignment with attention to the HID note.

If that all works out, shame on your dealer :finger:

  5. I finally have my vin and build date of February 8th with delivery around the 28th.

This is great because I have to return my Civic on March 1st.

The countdown is on. Hopefully my vin will work on the window sticker site next week and make it even more of a reality!

  6. Congrats! With any luck, the dealership will turn the vehicle around quickly so you can start enjoying the AWD. I was going to get the Tuxedo until I saw the Earth color in person (the website does not do it any justice). I too will be rockin the 18s. I liked their style better then the 20s, probably because going to a 20 would have been to big of a jump from the current 15s LOL.

  7. I also ordered a Limited AWD on Dec. 31st :yup:

(I hope the 2010 date helps with getting it built soon in some sort of end of year cleanup order)

This started out with my lease ending soon on my Civic (that didn't even have cruse control) all the way to the Edge.
