  1. So here we are over a year later. Dealer and Ford finally concede the engine is bad and needs replaced. Sent me home in a loaner for 10 days. Ont the 10th day I get a call the loaner is no longer paid for by Ford and I will be charged here on. No sir! Got in contact with the Regional Rep and they are taking care of it until I get my car back. No update from the dealer, so today I contact them to check on the progress. They're indicating the torque converter was seized, and the splines were broke pulling it out. New one on order and expected finish date is now Friday. My question is how was I driving the car with the torque converter seized up? The car never showed any issues other than excessive oil burning and once low it was hesitating as someone mentioned earlier. Luckily I caught the massive amounts of smoke it was blowing on video to show and prove to them.

  2. It was low on oil. Dealer is doing a "control test" topped it off supposedly marked it and I have to take it back to have them check it. About 1000 miles later I'm low again, I will be going back to the dealer. They said I must do this 3 times. I'm worried they are not addressing the issue and this is going to cause permanent damage. Any suggestions or thoughts? Btw, this is the 2nd dealer I've taken it to the first just told me they could find nothing wrong topped it and sent me on my way.

  3. Hi guys,

Over the weekend I experienced this issue twice. Upon heavy acceleration the engine will stop accelerating (even with pedal buried) and the low oil pressure light will flash for a split second. If you ease back into the throttle it is fine but heavy acceleration again resulted in the same problem. No power loss of any other issues. I imagine it's a fail safe so you don't ruin the engine but no clue what's causing this. Anyone ran into this? Will be visiting the dealer in a couple days.
