Sort of a side question relating to this. Once i get the tail light housing off, could I just change out all the bulbs in there for LED? I sort of recall reading something about the brake lights needing some extra stuff because they Dim... but i could be making that up. Could I replace the amber turn signal bulbs for LEDs without any other devices? Thanks! And Dingo I sent you a PM about those bulbs.

I'll have to check that out... I haven't really examined the tail light section before. I see that they have 2 variations, i'm thinking this is the correct bulb: 921 18 LED Tower LED Bulb. Only 15mm diameter x 46mm overall. 18 (3 forward + 15 side facing) Super Hi-Powered Super-Flux leds Emit Light in All Directions. http://superlumination.com/906.htm These are the ones that are brighter than OEMs? Are these the same as the MAP lights, or are these a little longer? They look similar though.

I'm waiting for KC300's guide on changing the reverse lights.... Cause this sounds like another job I wouldn't mind tackling, but i've become reliant on KC's videos

So I got tired of waiting for the USB stick and SD card in the mail. So during my lunch break I picked up a hoagie and headed to the closest dealership (which I called earlier to confirm they had the SD cards) for the install. So far it's been pretty good. Everything is much snappier and the maps look much better. One thing i did notice, but want to confirm tomorrow is the ambient lighting seems to be off. I had dark blue before, and now it's that light blue... I'm going to try a red or green tomorrow to see if it's still messed up. Just wanted to know if anyone else has noticed this.

The Dome light is one of my next projects, but what I was refering to specifically here was not the Dome light, but the light in the cargo area. So if you open the trunk, it's the light on the lower left hand side. But I am looking forward to your Dome write-up. I followed your License plate write-up and it was great.

I've finally started some LED conversions and wanted to move on to changing the trunk bulb. I haven't been able to see anything in the forums, so I was wondering if anyone had some ideas of what the bulb is and how to remove it. Thanks.

Recently I used a car service to go to and from the airport. Long story short, they ended up staining the visor and the bar getting in and out of the car. Any suggestions to getting the stain out... It looks black, not sure if it's grease or maybe even cigarette ash, but i don't think they would smoke in the car. Thanks.

Has anyone else received an email this morning (about 5 minutes ago for me) where it says there is a new version available and we can download it now. I tried to download and the syncmyride site gave an error... Do we know what version this is?

Just want start with by saying that I just picked up my Edge Limited AWD tonight and love it. I do have a question though, when my phone sync'd (htc evo 3d) all of my google contacts sync'd over correctly, but also what appears to be facebook contacts as well. The problem is that I don't want my facebook friends in my sync phonebook. Is there a way to exclude them from being sync'ing some how. Or know how to turn it off on my phone (or any android device). Thanks.

Just wanted to say that these forums have been VERY informative when it comes to deciding on a purchase. I have already decided to purchase the 2011 Edge Limited, but i've been holding out waiting for the best time to buy. I know last year around this time (possibly September) Ford started to advertise 0% financing for the 2010 Edges and my thought was that I would get the 2011 Edge at that same time next year for 0%. But so far I haven't seen any advertising for 0% on the edge. There is a new commercial out that is advertising $2500 cash back. So I guess my question/comment is: Does anyone know if Ford will be doing similar financing for the 2011 Edge's before the 2012's come out? Thanks!
