  1. I am thinking of trying this myself with the philips 8 led. My question is how deep did you put the philips into the original light housing? Is it touching the front clear part of the original lens? Thanks for any input.
  2. I was thinking it was the voltage regulator. I already replaced the cheap relay with a oem ford one that i had as soon as i received the harness. I am going to contact the seller and see if i can get a replacement at the least. I do have another ballast from the kit i bought for my wifes equinox i am going to try to swap it out with that and see if anything changes.Thanks. lol guess its because you get what you pay for here is a video that shows exactly what mine are doing
  3. I had a few issues installing my hids and getting them aimed correctly. Anyways i noticed tha the are slightly going up and down in intensity (like pulsating) . Its not noticable until you look on the roadway and see it . If i park in the garage and look on the wall i can see it. Anyone have this issue before? I read diff ideas about it being the ballast or the bulbs. Thing is i cant swap them around as it looks like it is happening on both sides. Also i am useing a relay harness with this kit. What a pain this is turning out to be. They are xentec brand from ebay $40 i beleive . I am tihinking of rippin this crap out and going with 55w kit from ddm tuning. Any ideas? Thanks.
  4. I just came on here to post that exact same thing. When i finished my post i was sitting here and it was pissing me off. I then thought that exact same idea since the tabs were diff from the original that you could most likely flip the bulb around. So i went out and messed with it and booyah! Thats what it was but thank you for the reply i appreciate it. It is weird if you think about it ...the bulb ir round so why would it really matter what position it is in. The pattern seams to be tight but seams like it is lacking on the outside left and right. Ill see if anyone had any posted pics on here to compare. Thanks again.
  5. I converted mine over to a hid 9006 kit. Everything works just fine i used a relay harness and everything but my beam pattern looks like @#$& ...i dont know what is wrong with it the bulbs seam to fit fine and tight . Looks like everything is to the right and its black in the middle of the road its so anoying. Any idea ..could it be the bulbs . Mn ai dont know so dissapointed im ready to rip them out and throw the sticks back in. I will see if i can take some pics. Any idea please let me know. Thanks
  6. Ok great thank you for the quick replies. I am thinking about going the hid route. I have been reading about the convertion. With all the stuff on here is a little confusing about what bulb size to use 9006 9012 blablabla. I am guessing its better to get the harness that goes directly to the battery and uses your original to trigger the relay from the harness to come on . But i am still reading on what bulb size. The place or person to gt the kit from doesnt really matter i dont think they are all cheap rebranded china stuff anyways. I thought i saw that you did retro your to hid what bulb size did you use and did you have any clearance issues with high low beams?
  7. So it uses one single bulb for high and low beam am i correct? So the sheild just moves out of the way to allow the correct light path. So when people convert over to hid lighting the high beam and low beam still works correct? Thank you for the input again.
  8. I just bought a 2011 edge sport 2 weeks ago. I was wondering how exactly the high/low beams work since it is in a projector type housing. When you cycle to high beam and back to low it sounds like something clicks or moves within the housing. Is it something moving so that the beam of light raises up? Anyone know how exaclty they have it set up ? Also i have not taken the bulb out but is it a dual filiment like a normal high/low beam bulb? Thanks in advance for any info.
