  1. Well, I've gotten help with my question. Since I could not get a definitive answer here. I called a rim/tire shop. Here's what I found and hopefully this information will help someone else with the similar question. The technician told me that since the hub on the Chrysler is larger diameter than the Edge. The wheel will go on no problem providing the bolt pattern is the same. The only thing is the wheel will not be fully centered. So the weight of the vehicle will not be evenly distributed on all 5 lugs at the same time. He said it's really not an issues since a lot of cars with aftermarket wheels are like this. The only thing you will experience is a slight vibration at 60 to 70 mph. Not much in this case since it's less than an inch of diameter. So providing the offset and bolt pattern are the same. If the hub diameter is slightly larger it's not much of an issue. They do make adapters you can buy. I will be purchasing some soon. Right now I'm just focusing on getting back rolling again. I hate thieves.
  2. Someone jacked up my 07 Edge SEL(FWD) friday and stole 2 of my factory wheels. Well for the price it would cost to replace the factory 17 1/2 painted wheels. I can get a nice set of used 20" wheels from craigslist. Problem is, the wheels are coming off of an 08 Chrysler Town and Country. I checked and the hub diameter is 71.5. Where as my edge is 70.6. Besides the hub being different sizes. The actual bolt pattern is the same. I'm assuming the offset will fit the Edge too. Since the Town and Country is front wheel drive too. Can anyone tell me if I can get by with the hub diameter? If not, can you show me an adapter I can use? The wheels are pretty nice and I'd like to get them rather than pay the same price for 2 new 17 wheels. And yes, I will be getting wheel locks once they are on. Thanks in advance guys.
  3. Any difference? The Lincoln may be setup for THX as stated before. Which is really no biggie. It will still work. The buttons and frame will probably be silver. Once again no biggie. Will it work in your Edge? Yes, it will. You can install it in less than half an hour. I put mine in yesterday at work. Took 20 mins to pull the old radio out and put the nav in. Do you have the gps antenna too? If not you can find one on ebay for about $20. The connector may not fit right. But with a little tweaking from a dremel. You can make it fit. That's what I had to do.
  4. The fuseable link had corrosion on it.
  5. Are you still upset because everything you suggested was wrong? I actually had to go back, find that thread and read it just make sure I didn't say anything offensive to anyone. And I still don't see how anything I said could be misconscrued as badgering anyone. I simply told you that I knew everything you suggest wasn't the problem because of where I was in my troubleshooting.
  6. That was a lame. I know you can do better.
  7. Ok, so far this forum has been as useful as tits on a nun. But I figured I'd try asking one more question. Just for squirts and chuckles. I'm looking at replacing my wheels. Considering the bolt pattern and center bore are the same. Will a 20 x 10 wheel with a +42mm offset fit all four wheels? I'm pretty sure it will fit the rear no problem. Since I don't have to worry about the rear wheels turning. But I'm curious as to will a 20 x 10 with a +42mm offset fit the front. Can anyone answer this for me?
  8. My Edge didn't come with navigation but I was able to get one off ebay very cheap. I have the VIN number from the vehicle it came out of. Can anyone tell me how to reprogram it myself?
  9. I recently bought a 8G1T-18K931-CA factory navigation unit on ebay. It came out of a 2008 Ford Taurus. I need to get a navigation antenna for it. Will a 8L3T-10E893-AA navigation antenna work with it? If not can anyone give me the part number for the right antenna to use? Thanks in advance Walk
  10. Yes the SHO has a smaller center bore than the Edge. That sucks, SHO wheels are pretty cheap on ebay.
  11. Nvm, looks like I got my answer. Looks like the new SHO, Explorer, Edge and Flex all share the same bolt pattern and backspacing.
  12. Does anyone know if they will fit a 2007 Edge SEL?
  13. Tested it, and as I stated before. My 12 volts isn't the issue. The 12 volts is there.
  14. Obviously power isn't the problem. So even if I had a jump box. It would do me no good. Because it would just provide the same voltage the new battery is providing. For anyone who can actually help me. Last thing I have done is take come coke and a brillo pad. Cleaned what little corrosion I had on my terminals off. Would this be covered under the powertrain warranty? Anyone? Tomorrow Im going go get a fluke and check all the fuses, the continuity across the fuseable link in the front and the continuity from positive to negative cable terminals. After that, I'm throwing in the towel.
  15. Kinda hard to do that when you can't crank the car. Then drive it to Autozone.
