Have been driving a 2007 FWD Edge (47,000 mi. now) for about 3 months now. I average about 120-135 miles per day, with a mix of about 75% in-town and 25% highway. Averaging 20.5 mpg. Have not burned a whole tank on highway only, nor or in-town only, so my average has not really changed since I've had the car. Previous vehicle with identical driving mix: 2002 Mazda Millenia, 2.5 V6 ending in May 2011 with 244,000 miles on it. Averaged about 21 mpg with that. All in all I'm pleased with the near identical mpg for a much larger, more comfortable vehicle with more power.

I'm 6'1" , 250 lbs. I have no trouble with the seat and legroom in my 2007 SE. I can dial in the manual seat and tilt telescope to a very comfortable driving position. My wifes 2004 4Runner, on the other hand, while offering every power adjustment known to man, is not nearly as accomodating. Go figure.

I just recently acquired a 2007 Edge SE. The previous owner is deceased and, of course, is not available to answer my stupid newbie questions. So here goes... What is the purpose of the disc that sits in the recess on top of my dashboard?
