  1. @Cruise_2_xs...I also have one road, about 3 miles long, that I drive every morning and 95% of the time, my system will shut off somewhere on that route. If I drive a different route in the morning, it NEVER happens. Never happens on any other route. I found that if I stayed in the center lane (3 lanes of traffic in one direction) and only get into the left lane just before my turn, the system does not shut down. Same as you, I can't see any object that would set it off - the road has a low median and either I am passing vehicles or they are passing me, so it itsn't like I have a car next to me the entire route. If I hit the light red, I can restart the car and the system resets. I hate trying to drive on the large road without it (how did I ever manage to drive the previous 40 years without it???)
  2. Mine has been better since the upgrade, although I also miss having just a picture as the home screen. @wlepse, my GPS was way off a couple of weeks ago. I was driving in an unfamiliar part of town and it had me driving through buildings! I was heading West when I thought I was heading North. Took quick a while until I found my own way out. It finally corrected itself once I was on a highway for a fee minutes. Haven't had problems with it since. My latest problem was a dead 1 yr old battery - but that will be in another thread.
  3. I have had my 2011 Edge Limited since early March. EVERY day on my drive to work, the BLIS system locks up and says the sensors are blocked. They reset after about 15-20 minutes, but by then I am getting off the highway, where I really could use the help. It NEVER happens on the way home. It NEVER happens on the weekends. It NEVER happens if I take a different route to work. Just fails on this one road - three lanes in each direction, center median (grass) and light traffic (sometimes a vehicle beside me and sometimes not.) It doesn't happen in the same spot, just randomly somewhere along the 3 mile stretch. I have called the dealer three times about this (first time he suggested the car was dirty - nice try.) I have taken it to the dealer twice. Every time they say the update is not working or not ready, so they haven't tried to update my SYNC/MFT to a newer version. I have version 2.4. BLIS has alerted me a couple of times when I truly did not see a vehicle beside me, so I know it will be helpful when I get it working consistently. Right now, I just enjoy it on the ride home and ignore it on the ride in. If I am lucky, I will hit a red light just after it locks up and before I am on the highway and I can shut down the engine and restart to reset the system and it works for the rest of the ride into work. But that has happened only a couple of times.
  4. I still have V2.4 on my 2011 Edge Limited. I called my service manager and he said there is no such thing as V2.4 or V2.8. He says all my SYNC problems are due to me using an iPhone. I am now looking for a new Ford dealership who won't lie to me.
