  1. Thanks, I actually went back and re read and realized I missed it. I appreciate that. I may just very well take akirby's advice and just do the plugs under normal maintenance. No reason to pull the trigger on OCPs and PCM if they are not giving me a reason. If the problem does hit me, I guess the only real thing that sucks would be to have to take the manifold off again to get to the backside COPs.
  2. All, I thought I had seen where there was not a maintenance fuel filter on the Edge. I recently saw something where someone was saying they performed a fuel filter filter replacement. What's the scoop? Is there a fuel filter external to the fuel tank? I am thinking there is probably one internal to the tank and attached to the fuel pump. Thanks!
  3. I was able to get the stretchy belt done without the tool, but I went thru about 10 zip ties in the process. Luckily a buddy had some industrial strength ties and the 2nd one of those actually held and handled enough torque so that we could spin the belt on. Definitely took a lot longer than it probably should have.
  4. Lots of info folks! I started reading this thread because I have an 07 with 108K miles on it and am looking at buying plugs to perform a tune up. I had no idea about the COP and PCM issues! Since you guys have been thru this. #1, does anyone have a copy or can point me to the TSB? #2, I am definitely not under warranty anymore, but this still pisses me off because it's an apparent defect #3, Are ALL 07-08 Edges affected or does it depend on a certain time of build? Just trying to figure out if I am 100% exposed. #4, If I decide I want to keep this car, is there anything I should replace along with the plugs to proactively keep this from happening? Do I need to replace the plugs AND COPs AND order a PCM? I'd almost be game with replacing the plugs and COPs as a maintenance, but if the PCM is what's causing the problem, then that's a waste. If the answer is to replace ALL of those parts, I am almost willing to let it ride and take my chances. Crazy to see these failing with less than 50K miles. Does it mean that because I am over 100, I am out of the woods? I should add that I'd be doing the work myself, so the whole 1000s of dollars to Ford is not gonna happen. Thanks for any input guys!
  5. Was anyone able to confirm how this is done? Is it as simple as using a belt tensioner tool on the belt tensioner, like other belts? What about the smaller belt behind the main belt? How does that come off? Thanks!
  6. Not sure what they charge to replace. I had paid about $15 for both nozzles and they are VERY easy to replace.
  7. Yeah, it is what it is. Easy to replace and no more than $10-$15 I want to say I remember them being.
  8. Just had both of mine fail as well this week. One was broken off completely and the other was so brittle that it crumbled as soon as I touched it. Guess I will have to order new ones from the dealer and try to figure out how to get these out of the hood. Any ideas? I am VERY surprised that they failed with 75,000 miles on it. I have never had these things fail on any other car I have owned. Seems like a few people are having this problem. Thanks!
  9. Mine is going in Wed. for this problem and the rear spoiler seal...
  10. The cops are only a small part of the equation. In NC, you won't pass a mandatory, annual vehicle inspection with less than 35% tint. Will probably end up with 35% tint this spring.
  11. I like the exhaust tips...where did you get those? Thanks!
  12. Great deal..you can't beat that! I did not know much about the Hankooks before our Edge, but it's not a bad tire. At about 25k miles now and they have less than 50% tread left and that is with missing the first couple of rotations. Good tire, minimal noise, great in wet, great in snow...but I still manage to spin the heck out of them when I stomp on the gas in dry weather. Go figure!
  13. I can't believe that...How can a fuel filter NOT be serviced? It's natural that a filter do it's job and need replacement! I rather they put one on there and have me change it for the 15 minutes it takes.
  14. Hi, Anyone know the location of the fuel filter on an '07 Edge? Thanks!
  15. Thanks, that's good news for the FWD folks. For the AWD crowd, hang in there!
