  1. 2010 Edge, Major crap!!! I have never seen anything like it on a car this new. Already had the rear bumper replaced twice cause it wont quit warping on top, there is no paint on the bottom side of the hood across the front and it's rusting through, there is no paint in spots on the bottom of the doors and theres more orange peel in the paint on this thing than the Florida orange groves. The front bumper looks like its been sandblasted, its solid chips. And I just replaced the three year old battery that should of lasted at least 6 years. All this in 40,000 miles, I cant believe I spent 35,000 on this jem. Sorry Ford, never again.

  2. Twice this past week the battery has gone dead in my 2010 Edge AWD. I have found the cd changer trying to change the cds over and over. In the morning, the battery is dead and needs to be jumped. The weather was very cold in Ontario the first time, -25, but only -10 the second time. Any one else have this problem?

    Its the battery.

  3. Within the last couple of months, I have experienced a dead battery. No lights left on, no doors left open, no true cause for this. After a jump the edge cranks fine and operates fine. Another couple of weeks go by with no further, issue. Then it happens again. Jump it again and I have my shop check the battery. Test shows the battery is charging fine. Personally I call B*******. So I just get a new battery. Since the new battery I haven't had another issue with starting. However, there is something odd. This is a 2010 limited. The backlit screens that show the radio frequencies and the area where the trip recorder and other data is shown, it fades out to a dull light. At times they are as bright as the backlit light of the AC/Heater system light, and then they fade to a dull light and at one time faded out to nothing at all. Couldn't tell what frequecy or mileage or anything read. Has anyone ever experienced this? Naturally it behaves this way just after the warranty expires. This happened prior to the battery change and they are still dim now afte the new battery. But my real thoughts are maybe since the battery has now been changed, that there is some method of syncing all the electrical system and such with a series of key twists, pedal pumps, on/off's, and maybe a dance move or two while sticking out my tongue will correct the issues without me having to go to a local dealer.

    Thoughts?

These things eat batteries, I finally put an Optima red top in my 2010, zero trouble. Hey Ladybell, did you just try turning the radio off and back on again? Thats how I had to reset mine.

  4. Ok, heres a good one that baffles me. 2010 Edge, when any power cord is plugged into the backseat power point I can only get about half of the radio stations. The cord doesnt even have to be plugged into a device, as long as the cord is plugged into the outlet it does this. It has done this since it was new but I thought it was just weak radio station signals. I just recently figured this out when my daughter unplugged the cord and I was trying to pull in a station at the same time. Thanks for any help.

  5. 10 Edge with Sync, noticed over the past few weeks that my FM radio stations keep getting harder and harder to pull in. I have to be right in a city to get anything. Sunday morning I left my house from the city and drove a hour and a half and could not get anything? Does the system need an update or is there something else wrong? Thanks for any input on this.

  6. 2010 Edge limited, just bought, nice ride but the delay on acceleration is terrible for 265 hp? It zooms around town with ease but when I get on the freeway I push and push to reach 70 , its like theres nothing between 1/2 and 3/4 throttle and finally it drops a gear to reach that speed. I've had Ford Escorts that would pass this thing getting on the Interstate. Can the throttle sensor be recalibrated or adjusted? Any suggestions on this would be great?

  7. Well? Has anyone solved the mystery rust inside the doors yet? I have a 2010 that is doing that on the rear doors and I have to agree that something inside the door has rust on it and is running down to the bottom. I asked my dealer about it and they don't know what the hells going on? They were just going to spray some kind of rust protection up in the drain holes but I don't think thats the cure all? Getting them to take the door panels off would be like pulling teeth, so I may need to get a little rough with them before it's out of warranty.
