  3. OK, family and friends-I am not a serious FB junkee (never really was), but anyways if you are trying to contact me, please either call, text, or email--getting ahold of me via FB is not the best way since I don't really check on a regular basis--my laundry list is way too long to be messing around on FB!! Thanks.

  4. I wanted to share my problem with my wife's 08 AWD SEL Edge. Was driving on the interstate (Christmas day actually), headed to families house, and battery light came on, and stayed on. There was no prior indicator to this either. So we kept on driving, tried turning car off and setting for awhile, initially when we would restart, the light would not come on, but then about 3 minutes later it would. Took it to local Walmart the day after Christmas and they checked the battery and their tester said it was good. So then I was stumped. The next day I drove it a little and then the ABS and brake lights came on the dash. About 2 minutes later the dash went dead, but the Edge still ran. As I was getting ready to pull over and check it out, the dash light started to flicker and I could hear the clicking down in the fuse box area. After about 30 seconds everything came back up, and the battery light stayed on. We arrived at our destination and it sat for 9 hours, and then when we drove back to our families house, the light never came on. Then today when we headed home, the light came right on when I started it up. Against the better judgement, we started driving home, 6 hr drive. About halfway home the ABS lights came on so I found an exit and stopped. My intention was to turn it off, let it reset, and continue on. Well it didn't happen that way, the car wouldn't restart, and luckily there was a Walmart right next door. I bought a new battery, put it in, and the Edge started. Didn't have any problems after that, besides CD player not working, but that's another post. Just wanted to post this so if anyone has any electrical gremlins in their Edge, even though battery tester shows good, I highly suggest going with a new battery. By the way, the battery was a Motorcraft, and only 2 years old (according to sticker on battery). Just too bad there wasn't a Ford dealership close by so I could have saved some money with the warranty.
  5. guns don't kill people, people kill people and gun control will only affect the law abiding citizens. Criminals will get the guns and ammo illegal ways. With that being said, my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved in the CN tragedy.

  6. looks like i might have to take to dealership-any ideas from anyone on this?
  7. Hello All, we just bought a 08 Ford Edge SEL not to long ago and we just realized that some of the dash lights aren't working (if they are suppose to work at all?). I read that the PRND gear shift has a light strip in it, I will have to look into that one, but also the lights on the headlight selection/rotary switch doens't light up and the environmental area is dark also (a/c, heat, fan speed, hot/cold)....I did look in the fuse box by the driver's footwell, and found #10 fuse was blown, but i didn't see any change in the lightning. Other than that, that was the only fuse blown.Speedo lights, radio lights all work fine....Greatly appreciate the help.
