I am starting my swap of my factory 6 dsic in my 08 Edge to a factory navigation unit out of a 08 MKX. I have read A LOT about this online and 1 thing is for sure, it sounds like the radio will need to be reprogrammed. My big question is where do you recommend having this done? I have seen posts here and on the Ford Truck Forum stating that a dealership may be a crap shoot. Some say they have had problems with this. Is there someone else you can suggest to do it? I am hoping since it came from the same year it won't be to much of a problem. I am just trying to avoid any headache. I didn't know it was this complicated. Just looking for advice on this part.

Sorry to keep asking these questions, but I just bought my first Edge and I am already trying to upgrade some things. Do you know where the location is for the Factory Sirius Module?

Pretty simple question. Where is the GPS antenna or Navigation antenna located? I am upgrading my factory 6 disc to factory naviagtion. I bought a Ford GPS antenna but don't know where they put them from the factory. I would like to put the antenna I bought in the designated factory location. I heard it is in or under the dash. I want to get it in the right spot because it is pretty important for signal purposes.

By the way, just to clarify even more, I bought a navigation radio out of a 2008 MKX.

I bought a 2008 Edge and it has the factory 6 disc with Sync and Sirius radio. I also purchased a used navigation radio out of a 2008 Edge to replace that one. I know all of the connections will work and I DID buy a factory GPS antenna as well. My big question is, WHERE does the factory antenna go? I know it isn't outside the vehicle. I heard it is in the dash somewhere, but can anyone tell me where? Position of it is important to make sure it gets a signal. Does Ford have a designated spot for it? Also, besides a DVD for navigation, do you think I missed anything? Thanks guys!
