2011 Edge SEL the trim that is on the driver side door that goes around the window buttons and window lock button will not stay in place. It constantly pops up. I will push down on the trim on the bottom side of the window lock button. I feel it click, like it is back in place. The next day I get back in vehicle and have to push down on it again secure it back in place. This is everyday, been going on for months, and final have gotten tired of this annoying problem. Have been checking here to see if anyone has had this problem. Has anyone had this problem? If so how did you fix it? Thanks

Sorry it took so long to reply but had other issues come up. After doing more research HD did not come on my vehicle. I do not have the sony system installed. It's the regular system that comes standard on the Edge. But like I said when I go the the stereo screen on the insync system a HD button does show itself for about a second then disappears. That the reason for the first question. So I guess I'm stuck, the only other question I have is there any kind of plug and play device that would allow me to recieve HD broadcast? Don't want to go thru the hassle of swappng out the OEM stereo CD Sat. reciever. Thanks

I purchased a HID retro kit from Retro-Solutions. I installed the kit 2 months ago on my new 2011 Ford Edge SEL and have been very pleased. The only thing I see is it looks like one of the projectors is out of alignment and is lighting up the right hand side of the road more. In other words I can actually see a difference in light beam intensity. This is from looking at the light pattern as I drive and also when close to a wall. Has anybody noticed anything like this after doing this upgrade with the Retro-Solutions HID Kit and is there a fix? Thanks

Got a new 2011 SEL Edge. It has Intouch screen also the AM/FM, CD, Sirius Radio. I thought this also had HD radio. But when I go to the radio screen to turn it on I see the HD radio icon button but the button disappears after a second. So I do not believe it's activated. Is this a option the dealer has to activate? Or what? Has anybody had this done? Would appreciate any info on this subject. :D

I have a 2011 Ford edge. Installed the set recommended by retro solutions for my edge. I used the 5000k lamps, made a big difference and had no problem with the installation once they emailed the proper hookup for these lights. The instructions that come with the kit is confusing (wiriing diagram). So I called and they sent me a hookup which was easier to understand. I'm a electrician/electronic tech by trade so once I recieved this it was easy. Have had these installed for over a month with no problem, I went with slim line ballast and mounted them with holes that where provide already by ford. Used the same ground points ford used for factory ground lugs. Also every ground lug where the ground wires where crimped I made sure of a good joint by also applying solder at these points. Hope this helps.

Just bought a new 2011 edge, it has the light stone carpet and floor mats. Would like to know if anyone has used or knows if you can use scotch guard automotive upholstery and carpet protector? Years ago I used it on one of my new car and it worked very well. But times and materials have changed. Just trying to keep the light colored floor mats looking good. Thanks for any info on this subject.

I just got the same kit today for my 2011. I'm planning on installing it this weekend. Looking at the bulbs and the wire. What do the blue and black wires plug into that are on the same side of the rubber seal that the lamps are? They also have connectors attached to them. Are these used for anything? Is there anything I need to pay close attention to during the installation process? Thanks!

I will be picking up my new 2011 Ford Edge in the morning SEL model. Tried to purchase the factory HID kit offered by Ford but would have had move up to the Limited model and get the 302A package which would have added about alot more money to the price of the SUV, salesman suggested buying a aftermarket kit. So here I am, I have read the post on this site and have gotten an idea but would like others opinion. There seems to be some concern over the bulb number and etc. So all information regarding this modification tricks for installation and problems would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
