  1. OK, well 10-15 hp doesn't sound like much to me. I am coming out of the diesel scene where some chips/tuners gave an additional 150+ horse power. I guess it's not the same with gas huh?? Anyway, would 10-15hp even be worth spending the money? I can get that by eating a power bar and peddling my bicycle!! LOL!! Any idea what a SCT tuner would cost for my vehicle anyway? I cant get the code right now cause it's in the shop getting the radio fixed. It has some kind of tuning issue or antenna issue. I guess there is a TSB on it......
  2. Are you sure?? I used a screw driver and lifted it back as far as I could. I could see about 1.5 inches into the rim. My wheel was definately painted silver and clear coated. OK, how do you get the plastic clad cap off?
  3. I have a 2011 AWD Limited. Does anyone make a chip/tuner for this engine yet? I called SCT, Superchips and Diablo. None of them have anything and have no working plans to make anything as of yet, according to them.... I need a few more horsepower for towing. I have a small 6x12 enclosed trailer that weighs approx 2000 pounds loaded. As soon as I get on the highway, it falls on its face at around 55-60 mph. I tried using the manual shifting and it won't maintain speed even at 65 in 5th gear.4th gear, yes, but I don't like rev'ing out at 3800 rpm. I guess the frontal surface area is causing the resistance, not necessarily the weight because around town it does just fine. Another 50-75 horsepower would be nice. Any suggestions?? I went on Ford's website and it suggests not towing anything with a frontal surface area of greater than 30 square feet. I'm at 36 square feet. Thanks!
  4. All, I just bought a new 2011 AWD Edge Limited with the "shinny" chrome 20" wheels. I didn't realize until I was washing it that they are plastic caps!! It sounds like I wasn't the only onewho didn't notice this at the dealer but whatever.... After looking closer, it looks like they are painted silver and clear coated under the plastic caps. I didn't want to pull back any harder with worries of breaking the plastic but, does anyone know what is actually under the plastic?? Also, how do you get the plastic covers off? They must be replacable because you can buy them seperately for around $200 for all four. Do they snap on, glued, what....??? There might be a pretty cool looking aluminum wheel under there. Or at least, one that can be powder coated........... Thanks!!
