  1. Just tried to change the headlights for my 2013 edge with an hid kit. I used a can bus ballast with a capacitor and a relay harness. It works perfectly fine when I have to manually turn on/off the headlights. The problem starts when the switch is on Auto during daytime. I just thought the capacitor would solve both the flickering and buzzing problem (of the DRL). There's no flickering noted however the relay is still making this loud, buzzing noise (when on DRL). I've tried a different relay box but same result. I'm pretty sure all the wires are properly connected too. The buzzing sound is just too loud and irritating that I feel like it's gonna explode anytime. I just want to keep the headlights on Auto as I often forget to switch the headlights on if I do it manually. What else do I need to do?
  2. Any problems so far? I've read mixed reviews as well that's why i was hesitant to buy from them. By the way, does the drl still work on your headlights with just the relay or do you have to manually operate the switch? Just 'cause some stores offer a drl canceller, some with warning canceller, etc. i'm not sure if all these are needed or they're just trying to get the most out of our pocket, lol.
  3. I'm planning to replace my 2013 for edge headlights with an hid kit. I'm hoping for some feedback from canadian owners who have succesfully replaced theirs already. With so many stores offering these hid kits, I'm not sure which one would work flawlessly with canadian vehicles as we use our headlights as drl's (together with the pipe light). I have changed my old 2008 edge to an hid before but have to turn the headlights on manually and this time, I want to keep it on auto. In short, I wasn't able to solve the drl problem but my headlights did function, so I kept it anyway. Would the canadian owners be kind enough to tell us where they bought their hid's, the components needed and how they perform. Sharing a link if it's an on-line store would help as well. Thanks.
  4. Hi 71Dragtruck, any update on your set-up? Did it work? I have the same problem. I have tried using a capacitor (together with a harness, relay and hid kit) and still didn't work. The relay kept on buzzing and the bulb is still flickering when on drl (I also live in canada). Something about a pulsating current if I'm not mistaken. I had this same set-up on my 2008 edge so i had to turn on the headlights on low everytime i drive and turn it off when I park. That was the only way it'd work for me then. I'm hoping to keep the switch on auto this time with my 2013 edge. Please give us an update if prinzil's set-up works for our canadian vehicles. Thanks. By the way, our dealership here also doesn't want to meddle with turning off/swithching the drl.
