No one has had any issues with phones not being compatible?

The phone itself could be defective - don't rule that out.

yeah, it could be....but...Ithe BT function seems to connect fine with other things..other phones and headsets and so forth..

ANyone out there have a phone that is NOT compatible with SYNC?

If so, what does it do to let you know it is not compatible?

Well they finally cut off my free Sirius and I won't miss it.

 

I was listening to the comedy (everything else can be found on free radio or my mp3). The stuff on the comedy channels is actually fairly repetative and the constant commercials are a complete turn off. I swear the free radio has fewer commercials than the Sirius.

 

Won't renew and won't miss it.

I can't totally agree on the commercial comment, however, they do have more "talking" about crap I could care less about than I would rather have on satellite...

I really thought there would be less "talking" than there is, but some of these folkds just love to hear themselves talk...lol

Overall though, I LOVE satellite and never listen to AM/FM anymore...

once you go Satellite, you never go back.

That phone isn't listed on the Tested Phones chart. Did you give the phone a bluetooth name? Did you enable Bluetooth? Did you check for a firmware update for the phone?

No I know it isnt listed, it is a very new phone...Just came out last month...

I did all of the above besides check for the firmware update for the phone because the phone is so new I did not figure I needed to...

Blutooth was on, and is already named...

I have not had a phone yet that was not compatible with my SYNC, until now....and I can't figure out why it would not work...

Like I said...it seems strange...like it is halfway connecting, but then does not really connect to SYNC...

Hey all...I used to have Verizon and had the Voyager..it worked fine with the SYNC, and I even made a thread on here about it...

I recently switched to ATT wireless and bought the LG Vu.

when I try to sync my phone and sync together, my phone finds Sync, and Sync acts as if it finds my phone, But, my phone name never appears on the navi screen, AND my phone never connects, although it says "connected".

It really is not connected because it is not showing up on my navi, and if I try to make a call, it is still completely via my phone...

Anyone else know what this could be, or how I can correct it, or if it is correctable?

damn how do I get my gf to detail my Edge like that? :shades: always seems like I'm the one having to do all the work.

 

I asked her if she wanted me to do a light detail to remove a little dust and add a bit of protection and shine on the dashboard of her brand-new car. her answer "no I don't like the smell of that stuff" LOL oh well I tried

 

I thought the Edge glare was only a huge problem on the "light" colored interiors? i.e. Camel. mine's fine, even better when I wear any shades on sunny days. but definitely stick to the low-gloss protectant, other kinds promote extra glare.

I see a reflection, but ONLY because I LOOK for it at times...it is really not anything that is alarming...I look for it just because I am reminded of it while reading complaints on this forum...

I do however, have a dark dash...

And polarized sunglasses take care of the entire reflection if you are one of those folks who notice it frequently...

Please, Sirius SUX. It constantly cuts.

I continued! I adore my satellite radio...I have a ton of fav stations...

Mine did the rollback thing regardless of incline before I got the PCM flashed. Now, it won't roll back.

Im sorry...what is a PCM? And how do I get mine flashed???

LOL...I know some things about cars, but...this is another language to me...

I hate my car rolling back when I am on a hill...so if I can flash something named a PCM, I just may flash away....

I was wondering if it bothers anyone that the only way to open up the hatchback on the Edge is from the hatchback itself? I'm going to have a remote starter installed on mine soon, is there anyway they can give me a keychain button to open the hatch as well?

 

Love my Edge, just surprised they didn't put a second way to open up the hatch, at least from the dash or something.

on my 08 limited...I have one on my fob, back lift, and on dash, near the left by my knee...

Well, I finally got my new Edge. It only took 5 weeks. Just getting around to taking some pictures to post. So far I love it!!!! Already have 500 miles on it!!!!

 

RedFire AWD, Lt Stone Interior, BAMR, Navigation, Rear Management System, Bug Deflector, Mud flaps, rear bumper protector. All the bells and whistles!!!! On yeah, I got the DVD in the headrest!!! My granddaughter loves it!!! It will definitely take care of your headrest problem. You get nice new flat headrests that don't poke you in the back of the head.

 

So far it was worth waiting for.

yeah I can remember gas as low as about 79c throughout my childhood (early - mid 80s)

 

normally it was around a dollar, occassionally spiking to $1.20 or $1.30 in the early 90s. I remember when I got my first car (age 21, was about 1995) and gas was like $1.19 a gallon which eventually got up to $2 / gal during that fall and slowly came back down over time. but I recall thinking... wow these prices are insane.

 

now I can't drive past a station that's not $3.95 regular if not higher. wow what a difference. so much for having $5 left in your pocket before payday and squeezing 3 or 4 gallons into your tank to get by to get to work. I love my Edge and gets decent mileage but I also doubt I'll be filling up for less than $60 anytime soon.

Feeling you on that $60.00 thing. When I first got my baby last Sept...I was filling up for under or around 50 bucks...but now, sheeeeesh!!!

Yeah, filled up the Edge this morning with regular unleaded $4.05.9 per GAL.

 

When I first got my license, (1961) I filled up Dad's 1955 Bel Aire (265 CID-Powerglide). I can remember it was 19.9 cents per gallon.

 

I can remember pulling into the Purple Martin Station and asking the attendant(!) for a quarters worth of regular because that is all I had left from my allowance and the needle was pegged beyond E.

 

...and he did. Oh yeah, throw in a quart of that 25 cent glass-bottle-with-a-spout reclaimed oil while your at it...

 

During the 'gas price wars' of the late 60s, I pumped Sunoco 260 into my Camaro SS 396 (!) for 25.9 and regular (leaded) was 16.9!!

 

The only thing pumped out of the Persian Gulf was Sand.

Decided to give one a try. My hands are always funky from working on bikes, beach sand, ocean salt, sweet from running..eBayed this week a similar one like above, but a different vendor as their description was a bit more complete and had some keywords I was looking for in a screen protector.. but in the end, I bet it will be the same thing.

Lately it seems that some of our older members haven't been around as much.

I'm waiting for my tinted tails to ship this week, and I'm always on the look out for more upgrades.

 

I would like to find an upgrade for the brakes (rotors, calipers, pads) and always open to a HP upgrade in the motor.

Maybe an after market turbo kit will be available soon. I'd definitely be interested in that.
