  1. For sale is a nearly brand new set of Ford factory crossbars to fit the OEM roof rails. I bought these for carrying snow skis. They are too close together to carry skis and I had to go with aftermarket bars. They have been installed on the car and removed from the car but never actually used to haul cargo. $100
  2. So my wife and I just got a 2011 Edge. We ski a lot in the winter so we made sure to get one with the factory roof rails on it. I just put the factory crossbars on this morning and I was shocked at how close together they are. They are only 18" apart. My ski bindings are 20" long so I am thinking this setup isn't going to work. I am pretty irritated as this rack will be completely useless to me if I can't get my skis up there. Can the factory rails be moved further apart? Does anyone use the factory bars to carry skis? I really don't want to have to buy a yakima setup after investing in the ford setup already.
  3. Bump Is there any new news on this? I just bought a Certified Pre-owned 2011 SEL with MFT but no factory nav. This was the only 2011 certified preowned edge within 3 states and I got a good deal on it so I couldn't pass it up. I had the attitude that aftermarket portable units had better maps/upgrades/features at a far better price point than the factory units. Now I see there really is something to be said about the clean-ness of having it built right in and integrated.
