yeah thanks for the responses was pretty disappointed that it cannot be fixed.....why would they go so cheap on the part and not make a cheap solution ?

Wow that really sucks...why would they make it like that?...i mean I have a 2005 mustang and I've hopped 200 curbs with no issue at all...very disappointed in that

Hey guys, I have been trying to ind some kind of information about this and Ford was not much help... I have a 2011 Ford Edge Limited (bought it yesterday) and when i was turning I hopped a curve and jacked up the plastic Chrome Clad (not the rim just the plastic part) pretty bad and it looks like the chrome-clad could just be taken off and replaced with another one...is that true or do I have to do what Ford said and spend $696 and buy a new Rim?...the rim is fine nothing is wrong with it its just the plastic chrome part.... I can provide a Pic if that would help!
