  1. [Had my slightly used '10 Edge Limited AWD for a little more than a month and I love it. Hope you enjoy yours. Freddy1021 quote name=lowelanxd' timestamp='1323905384' post='69876] howdy all.. andrew here. just got rid of a pontiac G8 6.0L in favor of a 2008 MKX, and what a great vehicle it has turned out to be! I'm a firm believer that everything automotive was designed to fit a certain "emissions" standard, and that there is always room to improve engine performance and efficency. Ive been in retail auto parts sales for about ten years and have seen all kinds of DIY maintence and modifications, both effective and unrealistic. Looking forward to making some mechanical changes to the 3.5 in effort to improve driveablilty and boost economy. Ford has created an excellent platform, and manufactured a great vehicle that's full of "out of the box" fun and features. I'm looking forward following everyones input here. thanks ~andrew~
  2. Freddy1021 I talked to a tech from www.ststurbo.com and he says he can tune your ride safely with no resulting long term engine damage and yield you 3-5 mpg and about 30 more hp. He does this all day long and dyno tests them all so he has documented test results. That website lists all their dealers and contact info. You could make an appointment but the fees for a good tune can run to over $500
  3. Has anyone installed a performance enhancement chip? I have a 2010 Edge and I'm told the chip will increase milage by 3-5 mpg and add about 28hp. Has anyone got any test results showing this? Are there any possible engine problems resulting from a chip such as fuel too lean causing burnt valves, oil consumption or ring damage? Also, I see adds for a 2010 Edge HP. What exactly is that? Sounds like a horsepower increase. Maybe its a factory chip? Freddy1021
  4. Freddy1021 I recently aquired a used 2010 Edge LTD and I love it. What's not to like about them? I would not want a FWD, might as well just buy a car. A proper Edge should be AWD. Much more saleable and when winter arrives, there's nothing like it. I think Lexus, Infinity and Cadillac have nothing over the Edge.
