  1. I ended up choosing Dan's kit - very happy with it and the light output is simply great. Only trouble I had a was a broken clip on the ballast connector that I'm waiting upon Dan for an answer on replacing..

I used the fender locations for grounds on Dan's kit. And being a CDN Ford Edge, I needed to install the harness. The resistors were a little tricky to place as they really do get hot (accidentally held one!) and I didn't want it to melt anything. Passenger side there is a nice spot just towards the firewall where a zip tie can hold down the resistor near the resevoir. For the driver side, I found two holes located on the frame just below the air box that would take a zip tie with some bending + trial and error and it fit there easily.

I paid the dealership $50 plus tax to shut off the drl. Took them 15 min with a little computer . When my lights are set to automatic mode they are off during the daylight only my halo are on.

How did you explain it to your dealer to have it reprogrammed? My dealer tech is dismissing me by saying there is no method to change the DRL sequence..

  2. I have a 2013 Limited and I'm thinking about changing the rear chrome trim on the trunk with a tuxedo black version (similar to the Sport model) . Does anyone here know how to remove the moulding?

Most likely I will be ordering a replacement part from ebay and having a local paint shop spray it for me. Unless someone is able to point me towards an already painted one...

  3. Before buying the programming tool, I would try this approach first:

    1) Make sure your tires are inflated to the recommended psi. Mine is 40psi.

    2) Turn ignition to the on position. If you have a push button start, push the start button without pressing the brake pedal.

    3) Push the hazard light button 6 times. The horn should honk and you should see "Train left front tire" in the LCD display between the tach and speedo.

    4) Release air pressure in the front left tire until you hear the horn honk. The LCD display should now read "Train right front tire".

    5) Release air pressure in the right front tire until you hear the horn honk.

    6) Repeat for the the right rear tire, and then the left rear tire.

    7) You should now see "Training Complete" in the LCD display.

    8) Fill your tires back up to the recommended pressure.

And here's a great set of 17" Ford wheels for winter: http://www.ebay.com/itm/SET-OF-4-FORD-EDGE-FLEX-17-INCH-FACTORY-OEM-WHEEL-RIMS-244-/261267872043?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Wheels&hash=item3cd4c7592b&vxp=mtr (No worries about offset, bore size, etc..)

  4. I have the same Edge as you do and I will be swapping my 20" summers out for 17" winter tires. Just remember this, the Edge does also come with 17" wheels in other trims - so there should be no problem at all.

This is the one time I would say listen to your parts guy. He's saving you money.

As for rims, try your luck on ebay. I was able to pick up some 2012 17" Edge rims for 300$+100$ shipping to Montreal.

  5. I originally PD'ed my grille but finally decided to just go with the primed black version (I am not going to paint the grille as the black looks good enough on my car).

But this should give you an idea:

Wanted to know, in the image is your grill already PD'ed or is that just the look of the primed grill?
