I think you mean you have to take it to a dealer and pay for version 2.0 and above. I downloaded and installed 1.3 myself from syncmyride.com.

Hi All - I just purchased a used 08 Edge. I have searched quite a bit, but cannot figure out what is the latest and greatest version of Sync available for an 08 Edge as of today (12/31/2011). Is it version 2.1? Any help is greatly appreciated.
