Update. Taking it back again tomorrow. Ford dealer says they know how to fix this time. This is the third trip to dealer and have had the car for only two weeks. On a good note, just got back from trip to Cambria Pines. I got 26 mpg. Not too shabby for doing average 70 mph with a full car of people and luggage. The ecoboost is smooth, quiet and fun to drive. For a "CUV" this is good mileage.

Just bought my edge ecoboost last week and gate would do this too, a lot! The dealer has had it twice now and replaced the closing mechanism. It works better but still doing it. My ford touch system shut down too and needed some sort of update. I'm upset because I really like this car but the rear gate should work all the time. I'm contemplating turning the car back to them.
