This happened to me over the weekend. 2012 Ford Edge Limited. Stopped at the gas station to fill up and when I was done hopped in the car and nothing it would not start. FOB-1 was in my pocket as always, FOB-2 was in the console slot like always. Removed both, swapped them around but nothing would make it recognize either FOB. Called AAA and as they were getting ready to tow it the guy opened the door and this time the alarm didn't go off so I tried again and this time it started. Drove over to dealer and they just acted like idiots, no idea what could have happened and didn't offer to test anything, said if it was working there was nothing to check. Still no idea why it failed, I never carry a phone or anything else in my pockets and the remote start worked fine.
