  1. Thanks for your comments and recommendations, guys. Our phones are IPhones, and we actually haven't had that MFT request to connect thing yet... I'll keep you updated with trying a few tricks on the car. Cheers!
  2. Morning everyone! Posting because our 2011 Edge Limited has been suffering some malfunctions with Bluetooth and phone recognition for the past couple weeks. After upgrading to the new MFT software version, my wife and I were really happy, as both our smartphones were detected and worked in perfect harmony with the system: phone, address book, call history, music, etc. After that, things started to degrade slowly, with sometimes taking more than five minutes to find a phone, having one showing in the phone section, and the other in the audio (music) section, when showing at all. And now, we can't have our phones picked up by the system anymore AT ALL. Bluetooth connection fails systematically. I have tried to unpair and re-pair each phone a fair amount of times, but nothing will do! I am now considering resetting the entire MFT software, (the 60 minutes engine running procedure all over again...), to reflash it on the car, but before I try that, I wanted to know if anyone had experienced that problem, with ideas or solutions?   3. Hi everyone. We upgraded our 2011 Edge limited by the end of last May. It's been okay, with definitely greater Nav capability. I just hate the fact that as soon as you scale out a little, you loose a lot of details and secondary roads. We've had the black screen at start, followed by the diagnostic screen, a couple times, though. As mentioned previously by another person, glad we were not relying on Nav for those occasions...
  4. Got it done today. The new font does look nice. Except that as I am not the original Owner, I didn't receive the upgrade package letter in the post, and therefore, don't have the new Nav card. With the upgrade, it won't recognize the old nav card, so no more Nav until we call Ford (dealer said they coudldn't do it for me) and get the god damn letter with new card in the post. I thought Ford was part of the American Dream!!! <_< :D
  5. Wow! My dealership says they have to keep it 4 or 5 hours to do the update... What is it exactly that needs to be done? Sync + Touch + Nav?
  6. Hi guys, My familly and I just arrived here in the States for a 3 years tour of duty in. Florida? Yes, right, we could have got a worse deal... Needing a nice familly car, we bought our pre-owned (certified) 2011 Edge Limited only 2 days after arriving. And we love this car!
