  1. Well it seems once again we have to replace the Rear shocks on our Edge. We have had to replace them seems almost every year just a month after the warranty is up from Mavis tire. We have had issues with Mavis on our Front Struts which are Monroe, the control arms, yes both again replaced within 2 years and now both inner and outer tie rod ends and rear shocks and will NO LONGER be dealing with Mavis as I didn't have the time before to change what was needed. Well with this being the 3rd set in 4 years and they were shown to us to be leaking AGAIN and as they are supposed to be Monroe Shocks with that famous Lifetime Warranty which they do have and Monroe will not Warranty them as they were put on by a Repair garage, also not covered is the labor or any of the other cost's for them being 2 days past the one year mark ( O_o ) Any ways Does someone have a Shock that they would recommend to be better to use or would suggest as to using Monroe ? I order through Rock Auto and they also have Gabriel Ultra, KYB GR-2 / Excel-G, Bilstein B4 OE Replacement, Ford MotorCraft or Heavy Duty Bilstein B6 ? If someone has could help us with some of their experience's would be great and again Thank You's for any help.
  2. Hi we have a 2008 Edge and am installing a new Pioneer - 7" - Android Auto/Apple CarPlay™ - Built-in Bluetooth - In-Dash CD/DVD Receiver Model Number AVH-2330NEX. what I am looking for is the best way to install it without cutting wires and retaining the steering wheel buttons. I've found iDATALINK MAESTRO ADS-MRR + ADS-HRN-RR-F01 ADAPTER / FORD LINCOLN but that's for the steering wheel controls and a few other things but it's not a wiring kit to go from the factory wire harness to the radio. We have gotten besides the radio a Metra 70-5521. The radio has RCA jack inputs on the back for the speakers and sub woofer. My question is, is there a wiring kit anyone would know of the would plug into the wiring harness on the car and have the RCA jacks on it for the speakers ? If not how do we connect the speaker wires to the radio ?
