Ya I have watched the videos and I know that my main issue is the stripped plastic gear inside the motor. It's a webasto part and wondering of anyone know if you can but parts for the motor sepertally instead of buying a 466 motor

I took the motor apart and the plastic gear inside is partially stripped and gauged its decent ally my problem. Anyone know if you can buy replacement gears instead of the whole motor.

I have a 2008 edge and have been experiencing slow movements for over a year. Yesterday my wife was driving it and would not close on her. It got left open about 1 foot. Stopped and would not close not close no matter what's did. Waited and tried a little later. With her pushing the button and my self trying to manually close at the same time still nothing. Now it will only move about 2 inches forward or back then stops and sounds like gears are grinding. I don't think the re-intialization process will help with this one ( correct me if Im wrong). Anyone have these syptoms. The dealer closed it today for us. But said it would be $1500 in parts alone and does not guarantee it to be fixed. They suggested we shop around. Any help would be great.
