  1. Hello, SYNC AppLink is not available on my 2013 Edge, so using Android phone for Google Navigation doesn't allow the sound to pass thru the car speakers. I was looking for a way, or another application to make this work but without much success. I am still looking for a "Ford solution", if there is one. Until then, I found a way and here is what I did: - I started Bluetooth Audio and played some music from my phone. Car speakers sound is great. - With Bluetooth audio ON, I started Google Navigation on my Android phone. After couple of seconds, to my surprise, the song volume turns down and I could hear on the car speakers turn-by turn directions voice, than the music continues. Done, the navigation is solved, but I would love to find a way to use Google Voice Assistant thru the car speakers. jedi_m
  2. The postal code is L6R 2J3, but even if you can find a way to ship them less expenssive, the custom fee it's a killer. I purchased staff from US in the past and for example for a Dehumidifier that was $220, I had to pay taxes and Custom Brokerage fee $185. Unless I can drive for 100 miles or so and pick them up myself here in Canada, it's not going to work.
  3. I am looking for a set to use with my EDGE winter tires and $700 it's a fair price, but I'm in Toronto Canada and adding the shipping +custom $$$ will be pricey.
  4. Thanks Waldo, It sounds like a solenoid changing the position and if thats causing the bang noise, I'm cool with it, although I think is a little loud. I was curious if enybody else has the same issue and hoping to hear what Ford has to say. Cheers, Jedi_m
  5. Hello, First, I want to say that I love my Edge and I could love it even more if the gas consumption would be as reported in the owner manual. These days I did the first test (play) on the snow with my 2013 AWD Edge and I've noticed a loud bang noise when the it starts to slide on the snow or ice. The system work well and the stability control or traction control does a good job keeping the car on the road, I can see that, but I am wondering if this loud bang noise is normal. Should I complain to Ford dealer? I don't like the mechanics to touch it unless is really necessary. Thanks, Jedi_m
  6. Hello everyone, My Edge: 2013, SEL, AWD, Tow Package Questions: 1. The Trailer Sway is ON by default and can be turned OFF in the Settings, but at the next key cycle it will turn ON again. I ordered the tow package but I will tow maybe once or twice a year a small trailer, so I wanted to torn OFF the trailer sway feature for the most of the time. Is there any option to do this? 2. If I turn OFF the Trailer Sway, will the gas consumption improve? Right now after having my EDGE for 3 months, I'm a little off than what I was expected. Thanks, jedi_m
  7. Thanks akirby, Does anybody knows and recomended any detailer in the GTA?
  8. Hello everybody, My new 2013 SEL Edge is on order and I was offered by Ford a package called Tricare (Electromagnetic rust protection, Xzilon paint sealant and interion tricare protection), all for about $1100. After asking members opinion in one of this forum, the advice was to skip all this and do it myself. The problem is the more I read on the Internet and forums, the more confused I get. I guess I will skip the rust module and the interior protection, but I want to focus on the exterior paint treatment. There are so many products and everyone claims is the best on the planet. One guy used this, other use that, his uncle use somethyng else , I go "cucu" and I don't want to screw up the original paint on a 40K new car. It's a big mistake if I leave it as is (factory finish), or I should do somethyng for the paint? My plan is to do it professionally at the beginning and maintain it myself as required. Can somebody recomend a good detailer in Toronto area? Thanks,
  9. OK thanks to everybody, I guess I'll pass the Dealer "protection", but I still want to do it myself. The car is coming in 4-6 weeks. Searching now for paint sealant vs wax and best recommended of these.
  10. :evil2.0: Nice, thanks guys. Maybe the dealer will mach your $800 offer, buy seriously when you say is crap, or not worthted is like a general statement for any product that Ford Dealer is selling, or is that Tricare products really sucs? I saw on the showroom an Edge waiting for the customer to pick it up with this paint selant applied and it looks better than other Edge beside (factory original). What I don't know is if it will last longer and protect better than other regular waxes? OK, let's forget about Electromagnetic Rust Protection, but if I buy just the sealant package for $490 it's still a nonsense?
  11. Hello to everyone, I'm brand new to this forum and very excited. I just place an order for a 2013 EDGE SEL AWD and at the end of the deal, I've been offered a deal on, Tricare Protection package (approx $1100) wich is: 1. Tricare Electromagnetic Rust Protection Module 2. Tricare Exterior Paint Sealant 3. Tricare Interior fabric treatment The plan is to keep the car at least 5-8 years, unless the gas price goes to the roof and I have to jump in the "Electric" car. Should I do it, or pass it? I like to keep my cars in top shape all the time, but is this effective or is just waste of money. I didn't find any proffesional and neutral reviews on the net. I would appreciate any feedback, Thanks, jedi_m
