I have a 2008 Lincoln MKX and the back seats would rattle metal to metal and would drive me insane! Finally, after 1.5 years of this going on and off, my husband took wd-40 and sprayed around the metal areas where the seats are bolted together for the movement of the seat from the laydown to set up position. He spayed and then I would pushing down on the seat while it was laying down until the rattle was gone. Wd-40 was my savior, the rattle is fixed!

I have a 2008 Lincoln MKX that has 80,000 miles. It got some body damage from a hail storm recently so I am going to get an estimate to fix it but am debating on fixing it or trading it off with minor damage. I do not want to claim this on insurance. Based on this, and getting a Kelly Blue Book trade in where I buy vehicles, looks to be a cheaper way out than fixing the car (hearing estimates on other peoples damaged vehicles). So far, I have had no problem with the vehicle and love it. I am wondering what other people have experienced as the miles add up, like alternator, transmission, etc. How many total miles are possible for this vehicle (200,000? 300,000?)? Thanks for you time.
