  1. This Build is actually the crossover themselves and what will soon to be installed in my Edge. I will post updated pics as i go along.
  2. I have 2 people in line for this mod that im doing this weekend....anyone else interested?
  3. Yes I thought of cluster in blue but I just thought it was going to b to much blue.....I wanted to keep more Lexus style look...kinda a luxury sport look inside.....
  4. The gauge cluster, A/C controls, and headlight rotary switch have the surface solder mounted LEDs known as PLCC2.... The door switches are only the 3mm LEDs.
  5. No never on mopar forums but I am a proud owner of 1974 dodge challenger I restored. Bought for $1800 when I was in 8th grade and finished restoring 2 days before graduation ....should have seen the faces on everyone when I drove up in it....priceless ...even the teachers hahaha ...a memory that I'll never forget
  6. Takes couple of hours and lots of concentration. The hardest LEDs to solder are the A/C controls, steering wheel control buttons, and headlight function rotary switch. ALSO i am up for anyone wanting this mod done....Pm with questions or how to arrange for this mod with colors etc...I'm an aviation mechanic as well as an avionics tech with the license to prove it If you know anything about aviation you know there is no room for error.....none.....whatsoever.
  7. I was very bored with the atmosphere inside of my 2008 edge so i changed the ugly GREEN to BLUE and the gauge cluster to WHITE.....sorry for the crappy pics but what ya think? BTW ignore the radio color because that will soon be changed to touch screen navi.....P.S. Dome, Map, luggage Lights have also been changed but plenty of post about that so you guys get the point.
  8. Well, I have been installing car audio and video for about 15 years and the simplest way to find a remote lead wire is to locate the ignition wire on the back side of the radio harness. You can find this wire with a test light. 1st ground your test light so that you can find any power source at all, your gonna want to check to see if you have a good ground by touching a power wire such as the 12v lead connected to the cig lighter outlet. after you made sure the test light is properly working take your key and set into the ignition but dont turn the key just keep it in rest position. Remove the wire harness from the back of the radio and proceed to check each wire. When your test light turns red you have found a 12v power. Keep your test light lit up and at the same time turn the key to ignition for a moment and back to rest. If you noticed that the light went from RED to NOTHING and back to RED at ignition then you have found the remote wire for your amplifier. usually there is only 2-12v power sources going to the back of your radio. one being the constant 12v and the other being 12v ignition (remote).
