  1. Well, you got me thinking. And I think I've solved some of the problem. I applied a version of Viagra. Now, if I could find a set of hooks that mounted in a decent way. The 2nd hook failed as I was doing this work and I had to re-engineer it like the other one. It's still only a temporary fix. I need a hook like this that mounts simply but with some guts. One thing that's less than perfect is the hatch barely hits the rear edge of the cover and makes it bow up see the last picture). I haven't driven it yet, but I think it's slight enough that it will level out after a couple of bumps in the road (plenty of those around here). If not, a quick thump from the back seat makes it pop right into place. Any ideas for the hooks?
  2. These pix should show the problem areas. It's like they started out with a good idea, then really cheaped out on it.
  3. I bought one of the "factory" units and installed it according to the directions. What a crock! First, one of the plastic hooks gave out. I was able to engineer a fix, but now the other one is failing in a different way. Also, the stiffeners that are supposed to keep the cover flat and extended to the back glass need some serious Viagra. I was able to use the arm rest by just not hooking the cover there. But overall, this so-called cover is trash. I'm headed ti the table cloth section of Wal*Mart. That sounds like a way better solution. Now, do I remove the hooks and leave the holes, try to repair the hooks again or come up with some "buttons" to hide the holes???
  4. I am also looking for a set of 4 door sill guards. Brushed or black. Can't seem to find any custom fit ones. Anyone know of any? Thanks.
