  1. Be aware. I always wanted to get a remote with flip key to replace the OEM key, so I got one from ebay. I was skeptical at first, paid $45 dollars for it. After getting the key, I got it programmed, at first it did not work, but after calling the seller, I found out that the instructions were missing first step. After that I got it working fine (The remote) and when I tried to cut the key, this is what I got: Ford dealership $130 just to cut the key. Locksmith I found online $115 just to cut the key. Lowes $75 just to cut the key. Another locksmith I found in yellow pages $120 to cut key. Hills Brothers Locksmith I use at work $5. Do your home work, they all will try to rip u off. Very nice remote and it works!!
  2. I was referring to the ambient light sensor from another post.
  3. I read somewhere that they are supposed to come on only at night, I don't see why you would like to have them on during the day. I am aware of the switch for the ambient lights but it did not make sense to me to have them on during the day. Thanks anyway.
  4. Does anybody now how to change lighting setting in the ford edge sport 2010? My ambient lights are always on, day and night. Thanks,
  5. I did check them at night. I believe there is some sore of not electrical issue but programming issue instead. My ambient lights are always on, and also my gauges illuminations at night were very dimmed. I was doing something to my car regarding ambient light setting and now my gauges illumination is fine, but ambient lights are on all the time and puddle lights do not come on. I will not take my car to the dealer; they will rip me off for a simple thing. I rather live with no puddle lights
  6. I bought a flip key for my 2010 edge sport, I was trying to program the new remote following the instruction from the seller, inserting one key, turning it to on and off position 8 times and then leaving the ignition on "ON" position, then pushing a button on first remote, then on second remote and then on the new remote. After doing all this 3 times my new remote did not work, but the red light from the ATS was flashing 3 times and going off and on and on doing the same thing. Everything was working in the car, but that red light kept on flashing all night long. I was able to start the engine and drive the car no problem. After getting the correct instructions from the seller and programmed the new remote, all my keys (3 total) and remotes work fine, but that red light now is flashing 2 times and then off, even when I am driving the car. Does anyone know what is wrong with the red light? My car is working just fine, BUT THAT RED LIGHT FLASHING TWICE AND THEN GOING OFF AND ON AND OFF.
  7. I have a 2010 edge sport, I bought the car a few weeks ago, and I heard about the puddle lights, so I went to my car to see how they work, and they do not come on at all. I removed the light bulbs and tested them and they work ok. Can someone tell me what the problem is? I checked all breakers and all are ok.
  8. I got my 2010 edge sport Ingot silver metallic a few weeks ago, and I want to do a few mods to it. I want to get an engine cover, I have seen pictures of 2011 SEL and Sport that shows the engine with an engine cover, I called ford dealership and I was told that the edge does not come with an engine cover. Can anyone tell me if this is true? I have the 2 pics to show. Anyone any ideas?. Thanks for your help.
