Thanks for the reply. I guess that's more than I had planned on doing. It's not THAT big of a deal (the treble) as I thought I could just swap them out. If it would mean a whole new setup I'll probably just keep them the same...But, just in case I flip flop, any idea on the sizes? I'll check Crutchfield also for a component setup..?

Thanks to all that reply. Like many, I'm satisfied with the bass and midrange in my Sony 12 speaker system (2012 Limited). However, I would like more treble. Does anyone know the size and impedance of the front pillar speakers? I'm assuming they're tweeters? Also, how much of a PITA would it be to change out the center dash speaker if anyone knows? Also it's size and impedance? Once again, thanks!

I've noticed "where am I" on the info screen (with coords, etc) and colored zones now on the periphery of back up camera. Also, artist/title on main four square screen...

I have the same phone and have applied the update. Although I'm by no means any expert on this, I'm not sure what the phone would have to do with voice commands? They seem like 2 different entities. By the way, texting now works after the update (incoming ones are displayed and read).... I think to figure this out just leave your phone in the house and try your commands. I think you'll find it doesn't matter....

Just wondering if anyone else can get it to work consistently. Seems I re-paired at one point as a last resort and I got some texts, but without changing any settings now they don't come through. Everything else works spot on and I've checked/re-checked all the settings. Anyone else?

Anything beats the stock speakers (well, almost anything). What I need advice on is what people are using to replace the front pillar speakers with. I seem to "hear" them as much if not more than the doors (at least the highs) and would think a high quality replacement would make a world of difference..?

Ok thanks guys, but I'm now just as confused. Maybe I didn't pose the question properly..... If I replace my front door speakers with aftermarket ones, will I lose the functionality of the pillar speakers based upon the pillars +/- getting their "signal" via the door? Thanks again!

Hi, thanks to all that respond! I have a '12 Limited w/ the full set of speakers and MFT. Like alot of owners would like to upgrade my speakers, the front doors and pillars...seldom have anyone in the back. I'm looking at these for the doors...Kenwood KFC-P680C. I thought I read somewhere that I will lose the pillar speakers (the signal?) if I make a switch in the front doors? If not, what size are those pillar speakers and what's a popular upgrade? It seems to me most of the sound for the driver is coming from the 2 locations that I've mentioned, doors and pillars and therefore would like to concentrate my upgrade in those 2 areas. Thanks again!

2011 Limited, MFT navigation error came up the other day, no GPS function and/or road info anymore. This am, also lost Sirius; USB and phone/climate work properly. Would pulling the fuse be the next step? I haven't updated as it has been working fine (have had it for about 2 months) and having the temp. on the screen really doesn't concern me...

I've enjoyed this forum immensely, thanks to all. I bought 4 682.9cf's for my '11 Limited with Sony premium and nav. Am wondering about a dedicated amp and swore I saw a post that outlined the wattages assigned to all the speakers and sub, but darned if I can find it again. Not even sure it was on this forum, but would appreciate someone posting a link if you have it? I don't need blasting sound & probably will not amplify the Kappas but found that post interesting and just would like to know a little more about my system maybe for future changes. Here's my 2011 Limited. One of the dealer's managers had been driving it, took delivery with about 3700 miles, never had been titled obviously. Love it so far, I traded in a '08 California Special purchased from the same dealer. I think it has every option; more than I ever would've ordered. Other choices were '13 Escape or a Mini Cooper Countryman, for 2k more I splurged. I appreciate al the posts and have learned quite a little in the last week. Thanks all!
