  1. The good news is that I think the SYNC module is actually in the back of the console, not the IP (dash). Not certain, but if that is the case its only one trim panel they have to remove to replace the unit.
  2. Problem Solved! I had the dealer replace my SYNC module and it worked. I've used my iPod (30GB Video to refresh anyone's memory) and not issue whatsoever. It was kind of a pain to take it back to the dealer, but it has been worth it so far. They said the SYNC people told them this was the only way to fix the problem. I would recommend contacting the dealer first so you don't wait like this guy above has, or try a different dealer. I case anyone is interested, my dealer is Dean Seller's Ford in Troy, MI www.deansellersford.com. Good luck!
  3. Mine is going to the dealer tomorrow for a new "SYNC Module". Will post results when I pick it up on Sunday.
  4. I have tried two other iPods (touch and mini) and had the same problem. It's at the dealer today for them to see if they can figure it out. I was able to show them the problem yesterday, but they claimed to have never seen this issue before. I will post the results once I get it back later today.
  5. I will keep complaining until there is a fix. I plan to bring my Edge back to the dealer on Thursday to see if they can fix it. At least maybe if everyone who is having this problem brings it back to the dealer then Microsoft will get hit with the warranty claims. That might actually get them to work on a fix!
  6. Having the same issue with my recently purchased 2008 Edge SE and 5th Gen 30GB iPod Video. Havent' found a solution yet, but looking forward to it. I picked the Edge b'cuz I could finaly use my iPod in my SUV and now it doesn't even work correctly! Really not happy...
