  1. did my second oil change and I'd like to get a fumoto valve so I dont have to worry about the drain plug. Tho on their site I'm not sure which one to get http://www.fumotocanada.com/Results.cfm?category=21&p=Ford theres one that has 3.5L(24v) and theres one that says all other engines. Any ideas? Thanks 2013 Silver SEL Variant Edge
  2. it was a rock, shortly after I pulled out of the driveway this morning it stopped, and hasnt done it since =D
  3. Pulled into the driveway tonight and noticed that there was a squealing sound, checked around and found its coming from the front passenger wheel. Moving in reverse, or forward causes it, also while in park, I can push it and it squeals when it rocks on the wheels. She only has around 6000km on her as well. Any ideas? I'm thinking it might be a small rock between the pad and rotor but no idea. Any ideas? '13 SEL model
  4. I want to get an oil pan heater for my '13 edge and I'm curious if any one knows how big it is on the bottom. surface area is to place one? The site I am looking at recommends for 5-12 quarts a pad heater size of 4.5" x 3.5". Is there that much flat surface area available? Site I'm going to order from: http://www.padheaters.com/ Thanks.
  5. Not the entire purpose, the inverter is to run various things. the merging block heater power cord to an external plug is to run a heater on a timer. In my truck I have a microwave, and a kettle for lunches, really comes in handy =D I never really considered keeping the inverter in the engine bay. The housing and such is plastic, wouldn't weather damage it? it gets to around -30C here. edit: hmm when thinking about that, the inside of the Edge will get to the same temps or more when its hot outside and sunny and the inverter worked fine in -30 inside, so it should be ok.
  6. I ended up pushing an extension cord along the main power/data trunk through the grommet behind and below the steering wheel. I have a pair of 2AWG multi strand cables (51") that I picked up a while back for the inverter. I might try and feed them through that grommet but I don't know. It was very tight as is. I looked at the hole and method you used Haz, but it wouldn't have fit at all, they need to find a way to make a 2AWG equivalent cable that's like 12AWG in size =D The idea behind the extension cord is; I have it connected to the block heater's cable (3 female ports) inside the engine bay, zipped tied down, and ran the other end into the cabin to run a heater (did that in my car before I got the Edge, and it was amazing). Going to make a male-male sub cord split in the middle with a deans ultra plug in between the two ends, so that I can feed the main power in through the grille. Thanks for all the input and advice =D
  7. I'm trying to get the door panel off, removed all the screws and bolts, however it's just not sliding up, feels like there's something else. Any ideas? Thx. Got it off, thought it was like my old 350 and once the screws ame off, the whole panel slid upwards. Got my new speakers in and realized, I need to order some felt strips, cause the panel vibrates against the metal when its really loud =D
  8. Just picked up my new Edge (loving it so far) and I would like to install my 1200w inverter. Are there any good ways to route cables from the battery to the interior? Thanks.
