But.... If you want to spend the extra money the full will get rid of the small line you see and wax build up along it, that's the only battle I face lol... If you want to see it in person I'm by Pendleton I know your near LA
-
Partial is more than enough for hood and fenders I drove from Chicago to Pendleton and did the blue painters tape trick for the drive. The only places I had bugs was obviously the front and was about 4 inches before the film ends. the way the front end is I think it's more than enough and I haven't seen any issues with mine needing more.

Smart man was it already time for brakes? Or just an upgrade

Dingo! Picture?
-
Lookin forward to seeing those mounted....
-
Dingo, Did you order the custom option like that or paint them after you got them? I was gonna send them the sport emblem to replace the ford, but I am waiting till I can justify paying for them... Or if that's look good

I have the ddm kit 35w 5k.. I have it in both my my cars and have had one kit coming on 2 years no issues. I kinda want to upgrade to the 55w kit in the edge but I'm sure other drivers are thankful I haven't yet. It's plenty bright. And if you want the running lights Dan sells the 5k is near perfect match.

Call clear pro in murietta and mention Andrew the Marine with the black edge sport recommend them... they will take care of you.. If you have a 2 car garage they could even do it at your place if you wanted to pay i think 50$.. They can also do the black out of the chrome strip on the front end if you were interested in that. Just a wash is fine, they clay the area the film will be applied to before they put it on. If there was an area to add it to for the edge I did all around.. Ask for Kennedy

I don't know what color the cookie crumbs are since I don't use it. The crumbs as if you drive around it will leave a doted trail on where you have drove, so you can "find your way back". Possibly that's what you saw?

If you search I did a write up on my clear bra... I'm in orange co so the place I went to isn't far from you.. There is pictures of it on my black sport...
-
While its still new I recommend putting a clear bra on it... Congrats aswell!

Since you just bought it, it SHOULD (key word) have the latest update installed... Check out syncmyride.com that's where it will tell you I you need the update based off your vin and everything. Another easy way to know if you need the update is if you have nav the card should say A4... If not you need the update still

I miss the snow I'm from Plainfield but in the Marine Corps which brings me to Cali.. But no issues with with chain police or road conditions... Little icy but handled like a champ
-
Big bear? I'm headed up tomorrow morning but I do have the awd sport... I grew up in Chicago and have seen my share of snow. Have you seen the weather this weekend? I'm not worried about chains and if there is snow it won't be anything that would require them...

I have the same kit in both my vehicles and I don't get flashed alot... The rain may have added glare off the road to be a little more annoying to the on coming drivers... But when I do get flashed I introduce them to the sun!

I have a 2013 sport...This is how mine came, so don't worry about it being a bad problem... Look at your speedometer when you open the door.. It lights up to accent the cars interior, the same color and way your ambient lighting does. I have my lighting set to red while i drive and it will go to that blue only on entry and exit. If you don't want the lighting that bad I'm sure there is a fuse you can pull and it will solve the problem

Ok so since every other new ford vehicle has led tails... When's it the edges turn!?!?.. Is there any worth it led bulbs to switch to or has anyone modded their tail lights with an led board giving it the same look as the explorer or escaldes?
-
I'm near there... It's been a few months but if its free I guess I can take that bullet lol
-
Mine had the same problem they have been out 3 different times for bubbles in differnet spots... They did end up redoing the piece you had problems with on mine too... It's that channel that makes it difficult... Sorry your shop didn't take care of you I still am a fan of it.. Have you figured out how to keep wax build up off the edges of it? That's my only battle right now

I've been averaging about 18 mpg and I baby my awd sport on my 8 mile trip to work in the morning. My question is I run 87 regular in it would running premium be worth it? Or is there another page that talks about that
-
Looks good where did you get the covers from and how much did they run?
-
Kc test and trade? Lol damnit wish they were available a month ago I'd pulled the trigger on them... Love your lights work/look awesome on my edge, I have people with edges ask me if something is wrong with their lights.

Go on Xpels website that's the film brand.. You'll find their dealers on there. As far as reviews and talking on the phone is why I decided to wait till I got back to base in Cali. If I found a place in Chicago I liked I woulda done it there but every place I called were pricks and their reviews showed

Ok made the journey from Chicago to SoCal with my new Edge. used the painters tape trick for the ride and i will tell you if your taking a long trip DO IT. I Had Xpel Ultimate Film protection installed the day after i made it home to the entire front end, 24 inches on the hood, mirrors, door handle cups, rockers, and as a rear bumper protector, It was Installed by a place called Clear Pro here in SoCal. The owner is a former Marine and so is his partner. Myself a Marine with 5 years under my belt many more to go... if there is one thing the Marine Corps does to you is make you have OCD and pay attention to every little detail on everything you do. These guys still apply what the Corps teaches you and did an amazing job. The Film carries a 10 year warranty against cracking, chips, tears, bubbling, fading, and yellowing. It also cures itself if it were to be scratched you can google the shop name and they have videos of the film at work and installs. The shop also backs their work if any bubbles form/dont go away or edges lift, Ever, they will fix it or replace it. I drove to the shop to get it installed and after it was done a week ago now there still are a few bubbles which havent gone away. They are driving to ME! not me having to take a trip out there again next week to check on how the film cured and remove those bubbles with a medical syringe or replace as needed. I'm anal when it comes to my cars and believe me they will hear about any bubble i find.
You cant see the film as you look head on at the Edge, but when you are walking from the rear of the truck to the front you can SLIGHTLY as you can see in the picture notice where the film stops. I can take more pictures but honestly I'd just be posting pictures of my Edge because you cant notice anything different. If anyone has Questions or insists on more pictures FIRE AT WILL! Thanks
