  1. Just thought I would check in and mention I'm the new owner of a 2010 Edge SEL in White Suede. I have the Nav and upgraded audio, leather, heated seats, power lift gate and cargo management. A few other options that I can't seem to recall off the top of my head. Anyhow, my plans are some 20 inch light weight wheels, might go to True Forged Wheels and see what they have. Also might have the body shape paint all of the lower black moldings white to match similar to the Sport models. Then I need to find some better looking exhaust tips. I noticed a AWD exhaust system is not on the market yet. Anyone else find one yet for their AWD Edge? Thanks, ApexEdge
  2. Just one follow up. I'm able to use my flash drive flawlessly with Sync. So it definitely must be something with the Ipod and Zune players. Hopefully they will get a fix. In the meantime, I'm just going to move all of my Itunes music to MP3's and load them on the Flash Drive.
  3. Please call this number and complain if you are having issues with your Ipod or Zune with the infamous "USB Disconnected" issue. I have learned that a thumb drive works fine, but my Ipod Nano is a no go. I have also heard of issues with Zune and that is a MS product! The more issues that are logged the faster we will get a update to the software. ApexEdge
  4. Yeah, they hide it. You have to go to FAQ and then scroll to the very bottom and see the tiny print that says "contact us". Then you click on the link that says phone number. Here is Sync Customer Service. I urge EVERYONE to call until we get a update. Phone: 800-392-3673 (FORD)
  5. Goto the Fusion Forum. They have posts about the same issue on their site.
  6. Wow, no way. Freaking Sync system sux. Go to www.syncmyride.com and call the 800 number and complain. The more complaints we get the faster they will have a fix for us. This is going to be a recall I'm sure.
  7. I spoke to the Reps at Sync today and they told me they have had many complaints regarding the Gen 1,2,3 Nano's not working with the Sync system but said no problems reported with the Zune. Go figure.... I would suggest calling the Sync customer service and letting them know of all the problems we are having regarding the USB disconnected issue. One member of this board is getting a new Sync Module replaced. Hopefully that will be the fix. He is going to post his results. According to the rep at Sync, he said going to the dealership is a waist of time because it is likely a computer program issue and not anything they can repair. I am not going to go to my scheduled appointment and instead wait to hear the results from the other member. I can't stand taking my ride to the dealership. Inevitably they scratch up the interior and get grease all over the damn place!!! Instead I'll wait for the update from Sync.
  8. Hi everyone. I just purchased a 2008 Ford Edge Vapor Silver SEL AWD. It has the Panoramic Roof Option, Leather, 18" Premium Painted Wheels, Sync system and a few other goodies. It rides great and the fit and finish is excellent in my opinion. I have one complaint and if anyone can help me, I would appreciate it. The Sync system and my Ipod Nano do not like each other too much. After about 40 seconds into a song, the Sync says "USB disconnected" and stops playing the song. I have to go back into Select Source, pick USB and it will play the song for roughly another 40 seconds before disconnecting once again. I have 2 Nano's and one is brand new. It gives me the same result with both players. I am using the white USB cord that came with the Ipod's. I have tried 2 different cords with the same result. Any idea's what the problem could be? Thanks, ApexEdge

  10. Hi everyone. Just purchased a Vapor Silver Edge SEL AWD with the Syn system today. I have a Ipod Nano First Gen which is on the recommended list according to the Sync main web site. It is up to date as is my Sync system aside from the Lincoln update which they only recommend for the Lincoln owners. I am having the same issue where it will play roughly 40 seconds of a song then say USB Disconnected. Very frustrating and since it sounds like many people are having this problem that it could be more than a faulty USB port. This sux bad because I just bought the damn car and I'm not interested in dropping it off at the dealership. To the person who said they dropped their car off, do you have a update for us on the problem? Did they fix it? What was the issue? Thanks, ApexEdge.
