  1. I have a clear SCT X3 tuner for sale. I used it on the 2004 Explorer I had. When I traded it in on the Edge I had I tried to return the Explorer back to stock but was unable to because the tuner display wouldn't power on. I sent it back to SCT who repaired the display and erased the tuner. It's been sitting around since then. It's all clear and ready for someone to load tunes onto it. Selling for $200 plus shipping.

  2. Well...I cleaned all the parts up and took pics with my cell. But it says files are too big to attach. So I can email to anyone interested in seeing them. I do work nights as an RN so I sleep during to days at times...so comment on here...first come and I will email pics when I can.

  3. Traded the Edge in on a 2013 Explorer XLT. Checking if there's any interest in K&N intake and front/second row Ford all weather floor mats out of the 2008 Edge Limited I Traded in. Thinking $150 plus shipping for intake and $50 plus shipping for floor mats.

  4. Just about to 60k miles on my '08 Limited.....wanting to change plugs. Fronts look easy...rears not so much. Anyone else do this and what's the easiest way to get to the rear plugs. Looked from underneath and doesn't look very possible. Hoping I don't have to pull upper intake to get to them.

  5. Hi did you ever figure out which sub to use? I am also wanting to change out my factory sub but leave every thing else stock.

I ended up using a Kicker Comp RT shallow mount sub. It fit in good...only had to use self tapping screws to mount it bacause the mounting holes didn't line up. It doesn't really sound louder...but it does sound cleaner and doesn't distort like the factory sub did.

  6. I have a 2009 MKX and was able to download a copy of 2.1.4 off the web for my car.

After downloading you copy it to a 2 gig jump drive and plug it into the USB port on your Edge. Runs from there. Requiring a dealer to do it is simply a sales gimmick from Ford to allow a local dealer to pocket an extra $100 for essentially doing nothing. (I was actually quoted $150 from my local dealer. When pressed, most of the cost was for a mechanic to stand around waiting for the program to install). ...right...

Try Google, copies are available for download, but I caution to run your virus checker on the d/l file just to make certain that a knucklehead hasn't sweetened the file on you.

Since you had a good install would you have a copy of it that you could possibly share with the rest of us?

  7. I have a 2008 Limitied with heated memory mirrors that have the puddle lamps. I am wanting to get factory blind spot mirrors. Does anyone know if the ones from a 2010 are plug and play or if I would be able to just switch the mirror glass? I have found just the mirror glass itself on Ebay. I was hoping someone might have done this conversion and can offer me some info.

  8. I have a 2008 Edge Limited. When it's parked outside in very cold weather and I start it up I notice where the compass typically reads it will say "CAL". Then after I drive it for little bit I get a warning tone & then it reads "CALIBRATION COMPLETE". Doesn't do this any other time except when parked for while outside in extremely cold weather (under approx 10°-15°). Anyone else experience this or hear of it before??

  9. Ok,.....question for those of you who have replace the factory sub with aftermarket one using the stock amp/enclosure. Does it make the sound better much at all?? I know it won't be any louder....but I'm not looking for that...I just want the sound to be cleaner. Right now with it all factory when I turn the volume up higher the sub starts to distort. The 2 subs I'm looking at using are either a Kicker Comp RT Shallow mount dual 1 ohm voice coil sub or a Rockford Fosgate P3SD4-8 8" Punch P3S Shallow 4-Ohm DVC Subwoofer. The factory sub had dual 1ohm voice coils so I could plug the Kicker sub right in...and it is vary shallow with only 2 11/16" mounting depth.....the RF I'd have to wire differently than stock and it's not as shallow. So...I guess my question to those who have replaced sub while using factory amp/emclosure....is it really worth it??......does it clean the sound up much??

  10. Ok...I'm going to replace the factory sub with aftermarket and then keep everything else (including amp & enclosure) stock. I think I narrowed it down to 2 choices....JL Audio 8W1V2-4 and Rockford Fosgate P3SD4-8. I have used a RF Punch shallow sub before and have good luck with it. Only thing is the JL Audio is single 4 ohm voice coil and the RF Punch is dual 4 ohm voice coil. I'm not sure which voice coil set up I should use to replace the factory sub...single or dual. Thanks in advance for any help/info.

  11. Ok....question for those of you who own '08 Edge with factory nav. Is there a light that shines around the pwr/volume knob when the headlights are on?? Every other Ford I've owned had that feature so one could locate the knob in the dark. Mine does not have this and I'm not sure if it is supposed to and it's not working of if it's just not equipped with that feature. Thnx in advance for chiming in.
