  1. I'm not sure of the part number...I am at work all night then head up to Michigan Speedway tomorrow to work the upcoming NASCAR race. If I have time to check on it before I leave tomorrow I will....otherwise it'll be next week before I can.

  2. I have a SCT X3 that I used on my Explorer. It's been reset & I was waiting to tune my '08 Edge till I installed a K&N intake. Well...that should be done within the next week. Don't know if the guy I had write the tunes for the Explorer (Henson Performance) has much experience tuning the Edge. Anyone have any recommendations on someone who has experience doing so & writes good tunes for the SCT X3 to use on my Edge?

  3. I know this subject has been touched on in a few different posts but I am starting one just to find out some info. I have a 2008 Limited with factory subwoofer. I have an aftermarket box I had in my old Explorer. In that box is an 8 in Rockford Fosgate shallow mount sub.I've read on the site here that some people have replaced factory sub with aftermarket while still using the factory inclosure and amp. I have contacted the stereo shop who did the work on my Explorer and one guy said it would work and sound better while another guy said it would sound worse than the factory sub. Now I know if I do this it will not rattle the Edge but I'm just looking for something that will sound a little better...the factory sub distorts when the volume and bass are turned up.So my question is who has done this while still using the factory inclosure and amp?...and how does it sound compared to the factory speaker? I'm not talking door speakers....just the sub.

  4. Well..just purchased a used '08 Limited AWD. Before I got it I noticed a leak from the PTU onto the exhaust. After researching on this great web site I found plenty of info indicating it is a common problem. I went to the selling (Toyota) dealer and told them about the leak. They had paperwork indicating it was just repaired (pulled and resealed PTU) by a local Ford dealer under warranty. After I purchased the vehicle I took it back to the dealer who repaired the PTU and they eneded up replacing it with a brand new unit under warranty. Hopefully I will not have any further leaking. :hyper:

  5. Was researching PTU TSB for the new (used) 2008 Edge I just purchased. Toyota dealer I bought it from had it sent to local Ford dealer not 2 weeks before I bought it for PTU leak repair and still leaking. While searching I came across the following law firm web site about a possible class action lawsuit against Ford for PTU leaks.

  6. Might not get it....has a few things wrong I'm hoping the dealership will fix. First off the ac/heater will only blow out the dash vents no matter which mode is picked, transmission/transfer case leak where pass side front half shaft comes out...poss axle seal & intermittent fuel gauge problem where it drops down below E & says "fuel level error" on system info display. Hoping leak can be covered under remaining powertrain warranty & fuel pump/sender under remaining emissions warranty.
